What did you do to your Ram today???

Anyone try something like this to wrap the front of the car temporarily to drive car from dealership ~1000 miles back home?? Not looking to PPF the truck in the dealers lot but what some protection on bumper and front grill/hood while on the highway because i can install PPF. Also not trying to use blue painters tape. lol

mostly worried about cheap adhesive that can leave sticky spots on the paint.

I highly recommend track armor. I installed it on the entire front bumper/grill/hood at the dealership - after a quick rinseless wash with a spray bottle and a couple microfibers - before I drove off the lot. I had a 6 hour drive through the backroads of East Texas and didn't want rock chips or bugs to screw up my brand new truck.

Track Armor worked flawlessly. No dings or chips or etched bug guts. It came off very easy and only left a handful of small adhesive spots that came right off with some goo gone and a microfiber. It was on the truck for about 10 hours when I removed it.

Does look a lot high quality! Thanks! Assuming you did a dry application?

More details on this please

I closed the weep holes on the Resonators because you get this air blowing sound through the weep holes on the Resonator. You only noticed the air blowing sound at idling. Closing them up just makes it more crisp. I just use some high temp exhaust gasket maker. To test it out. Once it warms up I’ll probably use some JB Weld.

I forgot to ask, is there any drone?

No complaining from wife or kids about drone. Their is a small exhaust note. In cab accelerating. It does sound a little odd with MDS engaged. Sounds bad *** outside of the truck when someone else is driving. But radio will hide the exhaust in the cab all together.

Not sure if I posed at 43,000 miles finally had to get new tires. Not bad considering I tow the 5th wheels a lot.

Yes - dry application. I had a ton of wrinkles but didn't care cause it was only there to protect the paint for the drive home and not there to look good.

How are these noise wise? the Duratracs are amazingly loud. I usually think people are exaggerating about that but driving a rebel for a week taught me otherwize. i considered these in the past alongside some Toyo Open Country AT's but ended up going with the new Continental A/T tire which i really like and they're extremely quiet on the roads for an A/T. just curious.

Nice! That’s one beautiful truck!
Just curious do you have the HO or regular Cummins in each truck? I’m curious on the daily driving with the Aisin if you’ve got it.

I put in this Noco plug to feed my block heater and my underhood battery conditioner/charger.

Here's where I put it...

I replaced the stock Noco screws, self-tapping sheet metal style, with stainless bolts with nylon lock nuts and appropriate washers on the backside. (No way that's pulling out of the plastic if the plug gets yanked out.)

Here's what the block heater did after being plugged in overnight in upper 20's....

Added some color today. Have an inlay for tailgate badge as well, but first letter wasn't cooperating, so will wait for a warmer day to install. Tailgate up against garage door and have to open garage door to do anything doesn't work too well in freezing temps. Turned up the heater in garage to do the rest of them. Sent this vinyl to Jason Mertz to be cut for me. It's KPMF K75400 Gloss Purple Black Iridescent.View attachment 118651View attachment 118652View attachment 118653View attachment 118654
Gives it a Mopar muscle vibe

Now that I am enduring my first winter with my 2021, I'm really thinking a block heater is a good investment. I have the 5.7L and I'm fairly sure there are some write ups in 5thgenrams to help through the installation. As it is now, I'm almost all the way to work by the time the truck is warm. The seat warmers cut the edge, but I'd still like the cab to be comfortable.

I see that you have an EcoDiesel, so it's a little different.

I just plugged mine a couple of days ago, and I could not be happier. I was losing my mind with the awful air puttering noise at idle, and was on the verge of getting an entire catback system thinking it had to be something to do with the current aftermarket B2 setup that was on the truck when I bought it. Luckily I stumbled upon a thread about the weep holes, so gave that a try. I used a hammer and 3/8" ratchet extension to flatten them and then threw a bit of RTV on them. It is a night and day difference now, and I love the exhaust note of the B2 oval setup now that you can really hear it without the air puttering noise on cold starts and at idle. No change to cabin noise or drone level after plugging weep holes.

Luckily I added the block heater last minute on my order and it only added $80 to the order (less than the actual part if i bought it after). TBH, I'm not sure how often I'll use it as i also have the 5.7L and if you're using good oil, you should be good to at least -40C/F. But nice to have to limit the wear on the internals.

That being said there are definitely some walk throughs here. Some I read said the starter needs to be removed to access the plug and that it's a little tricky to install.

Good luck and share some pics when you do it!!!

Just regular Cummins. Does just fine with the the toys I tow.

Very quiet on the road. As much highway driving I do I didn’t want noisy. My brother has the noisy ride and drives me nuts!!

That Luxe Elite is gorgeous. I've always been a fan of red, black, and gold together.
