In a previous post, I ranted about the poor quality of the WeatherTech floor covers...I stand by that review--not up to WeatherTech standards.

However, I installed their mud-flaps this week, and am pleased with the product. For approximately $85 (w/tax), the four flaps fit great, were easy to install and work well. I live on a dirt/gravel road, and the difference is night and day.

Installation could not be easier (three screws for each front flap, four for the rears). The flaps are available for front or rear, fender flare and non-fender flare models.

I agree on the floor mats, these are not the Weathertech mats of old. These are made with one thing in mind, profit margin only. One other thing, the Ram Molded splash guards are very poorly made, the fit around the fender flare leaves a gap. Returned them to the dealer.

Did you look into the Mopar /Ram version of these?
Although I am not the original poster, I will comment here. I recently bought the mopar splash guards from ebay. As soon as I received them, I started looking for alternatives (and ordered the weathertech flaps last night). The mopar splash guards don't fit very well. They don't follow the contour of the fender flare very closely, and they also wrap around the outside of the fender flare quite a bit. Basically I think they stick out like a sore thumb. I decided not to install them, and am going to try to return them. Based on the photos I've seen here, the weathertech flaps are a lot less noticeable, and seem to be a similar size. I think I'll be a lot happier with them. I will try to remember to report back after the weathertechs arrive.

Don't waste your money. I bought the Mopar ones before my truck was delivered in early June (and before Weathertechs were released). I've since sold them and put on weathertechs.

I have to agree with the OP on this. Weathertech saved a little face with the mud flaps over their floor mats fiasco.

The mud flaps install with ease. Look seamless on the truck. I was really worried when I decided on them. Didnt want the gaudy look of flaps on my truck. However these look perfect. And do a great job to boot. Been wet around here the past week. No longer have the mud/dirt roster tails down the side..

I received mine today, but they don’t seem to fit? Did you permanently remove anything previously screwed in to replace with the mud flap?

Humm. I'm not sure bud. Mybset was a complete bolt on w/o removing anything. Do you have any pics handy showing us your problem?

I’m the OP, and mine were installed on a truck with flares, although the installation is the same for both, and does not require drilling. Very fast bolt on installation. It helps to turn the steering in to give better access. The installation takes minutes. Still liking mine after lots of mud and now.

I agree with the consensus here.

Weathertech splash guards w/fender flare fit 100% better than the official Mopar ones. Sucks that they don't have "Ram" in them but I also think that they look nicer in that the Weathertech's don't wrap around the edge.

Floormats was the opposite for me, Weathertech's weren't good but the official Mopar all-weather ones were fit and look good and are also softer rubber.

I ordered “no-flare” mud flaps, and I am only realizing now that I should’ve ordered “flare” mud flaps. Am I correct?
