I just wonder after these OTA's, if it's not worth disconnecting the battery for a good hour to reset the full vehicle since these are nothing but computers anymore. When you update a computer, they usually do a restart.Just one more reason I need to look up that thread that enables us to bypass these OTAs.... I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I will say that I usually don’t know that one of these has happened until I’m getting in the truck to leave. As I recall, they used to send warnings that an update was going to occur. Now it just seems like I start the vehicle up and I get the new “accept” screen and certain things don’t show up.I just wonder after these OTA's, if it's not worth disconnecting the battery for a good hour to reset the full vehicle since these are nothing but computers anymore. I wish they would go back to allowing customers the option OTA or personal update.I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I will say that I usually don’t know that one of these has happened until I’m getting in the truck to leave. I have put off taking the truck in to get some of the recalls done because I haven’t experienced the problems the recall are said to address, and I hate taking my truck to the dealer anyway. I may go ahead and just take it in and have all of them addressed, and then do the bypass and call it done.
Do the OTAs happen automatically? I just started having the same issue with my vented seatsI received an OTA this week, as usual some things were wonky for bit. Is it possible this occurred with your truck?
Yeah. I went to start my truck after coming out of a Long & McQuades and it had me sitting there waiting for the update to install.Do the OTAs happen automatically? I just started having the same issue with my vented seats
