yes it is mood lighting and they will not go off when the glove box is shut. if you look at your ingestion switch it has mood lighting also .So i take it on the uppeer trim levels it is “mood lighting” and on my big horn it is work correctly by coming on when i open the glove box and going off when i close it?
it's not really difficult to take the glove box out. There's hidden screw in the right a/c vent but the vent pop's right out and you can get to it. if you like I can write up the steps.
I pulled the vent out, put a dab of hot glue on a screwdriver and applied the dab to the plastic arm then smoothed it with my finger, works like a champSo I also have this issue with my Laramie, and no it is not the mood lighting. This is also causing a battery drain on my truck since it is not a daily driver for me. I have had the entire charging system checked at the dealership, and replaced the battery and now the new battery will not start the truck and shows a charge of 12 amps.
has this happened to anyone else?
I have a 2025 RAM Longhorn, and the upper glove box light stays on until I push the lid up a little, then it goes off. Seems like it's out of adjustment as there is a big crack between the lid and the bottom trim. If you hit a bump or something while driving, it comes back on. It definitely is annoying. The light in my upper glove box comes on when i open the front panel. I saw a video someone that his stays on and dims with the mood lighting dimmer switch. Is mine working right or should it be on all the time?
It just happened to me and the dealer had to replace the top glove box door and found that the light switch was bad while replacing the upper door. After getting the truck back, I ended up getting a code indicating the starter relay was open. More issues, but since then the dealer took it for a day and replaced the fuse array 150 amp fuse and the Aux battery. Truck is back and running great with no problems. So I also have this issue with my Laramie, and no it is not the mood lighting.
