Updated 2" Mopar Lift/Level Kit - Discussion

@Jeffjad Yea, I dont have a ton of faith in them. Too much business going through dealerships to expect too much attention to detail. Im going to talk with my local shop about it as well. Few of those guys built trucks often. I have a little time to figure this out as 35" tires are pretty much nowhere to be found.

Appreciate the feedback.

Well I traded my 2020 sport/Laramie. Got my 2022 Sport GT night edition, non orp coming(was an absolute struggle to find a truck with every I wanted) ordered the Mopar lift and 285/55/22 Toyo At3's.
Didn't go 35's because I'm using my night edition rims, and have no fender flares. So don't want the tires to poke out and spit rocks at my paint

Just wondering, all these Mopar lifts that look higher and more level that others. Are those with the standard Mopar kit with ORP front springs?

Would rather only do this once, so should I tell my dealer to install the Mopar lift along with front ORP springs?

Mopar 2.5” fox kit, ORP springs, Falken Wildpeak 295/75r18. No rub.

Pictures do NOT do it justice

Only put 30mi or so on it but it rides really smooth. Speed bumps feel like nothing. No noticeable increase in highway noise.

I was concerned about the UCA angles but the installers said they don’t look too bad at all, and another shop that builds race trucks agreed nothing to be concerned about with commuting/light off roading.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for the input and special thanks to those who replied to my dm’s.

Anyone in AZ - Total Auto Pros is an excellent shop with great customer service.

It ended up being the tire size calibration. I used AlfaOBD to change the tire size to the 34" at the same time. When I changed it back to stock the parking sensors work again.
So, if we try and calibrate for larger tires, our sensors will not work?? Now you have me bummed. I had the dealer tell me a couple of days ago that he could calibrate my speed o as we were discussing putting 34.8 x 18 on my rebel. Dang.... :(

I'll upload them as soon as my truck lands. Lol The thing that sold me on the GT was the console shifter(didn't mind the dial, but that giant unorganized void under the cupholders was to much), and new seats. Exhaust and intake are added bonuses. With all the chip shortages, the spec trucks available coming out of the plant are bizarre.
I have the level 2 equipment group. Comfort and convenience group(no remote tailgate release, or second row heated seats or wireless charging pad(never used them on my old truck anyway), night edition, 3.92 anti spin. But the only other trucks available were all those options with a full comfort group but conventional diff and 3.21.

But, still need to figure out the Mopar lift. I see some on this forum and they don't look any different aside from the rake. Still debating putting the ORP springs on the front, but don't want to mix and match new UCAs from RC.

I calibrated for larger tires using the Tazer DT without any issues. I know it's a little more money but it comes with a lot of features.

Hey. I see you did the Mopar with ORP springs. Did you change the UCA because it the angles were bad? Looking to do the same. Any pictures?

I swapped out UCAs because I tow quite a bit and the Mopar UCAs were pushing the limit while towing.

I’m almost instantly down from 18-19mpg average to 16mpg average after lift with ORP. Pretty shocking to see how fast the gas needle moves…

A few questions - When I calibrate the speedometer (just need to pick up the tool) will that help? Would re-gearing make an impact as well? Does anyone have the lift without ORP and get better mileage? Am I correct to assume the larger AT tire is the main culprit of lower mpg?

Bad timing to lose mpg with gas doing what it’s doing 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Same setup here and I calibrated for 35s but still lost about 3mpg. Sacrifice you make for a better looking truck I guess.

Thank you, that is not the best angle with the Mopar UCAs. So I will stick with the standard mopar 2" lift/level and 285/55/22 rubber.
Hopefully it look higher than pictures.

Mine did the same thing when I did a 3” lift (details in signature). I lost an average of 3.7-4.2 depending on how I drive.

For the huge loss I’ve taken, I wonder if a TRX would have served me well. However, we know that Rams mpg estimates on the sticker are lying, so I wonder if the TRX gets less than 12mpg combined with normal driving.

people have said they get about 8-9 mpg
 
i got the eco diesel my mpg is about 22/25 mpg and then. city about 17-21 mixed driving i avg about 21

but my lift aint anything i got a 3 inch level and 1 inch in the rear
I almost traded in my truck a few weeks ago for a 22 Limited longhorn with a ecodiesel, but I would never recoup the money before getting rid of it in a couple years. Plus, I’m all about electric trucks. If ram came out with an electric TRX, I’d buy it without hesitation.
