I just ordered a Laramie. 1st Ram after 3 F-150s. Found this thread searching on power folding mirrors because I don't know what I am really getting. I specifically did not order the Trailer Tow Package for exactly the same reason: I wanted the 360 camera. I did get the Electronic Brake Controller so really the only difference with the package is the tow mirrors. I ordered the Sport Appearance so I still don't know if it will be Power Fold or not because it was the Sport Appearance Package that had the description "Power-Heated Mirrors with Manual Fold-Away ". I see stuff on the internet suggesting Laramie's have power fold. I really hope I did not lose this nice feature just because my mirrors are painted instead of chrome. Maybe a typo on the website? BTW: you can get 360 camera with 8.4 screen but you can't get it with the tow mirrors. I figure that blind spot mirror will help some.

I have the Sport Appearance and mine are the power fold with the cameras.

My Ram Laramie Sport has power folding mirrors. I would assume that's what you will get. And the Surround Camera is amazing!

Thanks. Finally figured it out by comparing different options on the web. They have some odd copy paste stuff going on where they are listing the actual mirror which is manual gold. Then another line adds on power gold. Took me a bit. Any chance they are single quick press to auto fold? Like putting down the window.

Yes, the power fold is single press

Please tell me this is true! Wanted 8.4 screen, cause I want the physical knobs. But a dealer said I can’t get the 8.4 “ with 360 camera. So thought I had to order the 12”. Did you test drive a truck with 360 camera with the 8.4?

It’s been a while since I test drove but I was pretty sure. So I did an online configure just now. For 360 On a Laramie you must get the advanced safety group and level 2 but NOT a 12 inch screen. So just step through the website with your dealer. Now that being said I can’t imagine finding one on a lot this way. By the time you get level 2 and ASG you are pretty loaded up with tech so why not get the 12 inch. So all the dealer configured trucks have them. Also I will confirm that even with a 12 inch screen the 360 view screen is only in half screen mode. That would have made no sense if it was only for 12 inch screens. That is my biggest complaint; the overhead view is only 1/3 of an 8 inch screen so it is actually kind of small for something so important with so much real estate available. But I still think it is a great feature. Helps me park in the lines perfectly every time and ensures I don’t hit anything going in and out the garage. Very glad I got the 12. It is nice to use and is the showpoint of the interior of the truck. My Denali and F150 friends always get a little scowl on their faces when they get in :). I have physical HVAC and radio controls so that does what I need. If I could get physical seat heater/cooler buttons there would be no compromise to speak of. The fix would be two configurable rocker switches to anything in the touchscreen. Maybe they will figure that out next gen. People sometimes forget the steering wheel controls are physical buttons.

I’ll have to dig more into it. So surprised I can’t find out more information about it. I see what you mean with the 12”. I am also surprised if the 8.4 doesn’t have it as yes, on the 12” it’s only on half the screen, which I saw when I test drove one. I will be putting an order in for a truck soon, very similar to yours but with the sport 20 rims, no Etorque, no sunroof and in Maximum Steel (still debating color). The screen size is causing much debate with me. While I love the look and tech. I just love instant button response more. Heated seats? Hit a button. Wearing gloves? Hit a button. Currently have a Ford Flex Limited as one of our cars, and it’s basically all touch. Minus the volume (which I just use wheel controls anyways). Sometimes I have to concentrate to make something work, which I don’t like doing while driving. Yes, if it had physical heat seat buttons I would probably have already placed my order with a 12”. Another thing is I hope to have the truck for 8 yrs or more like my 99 Explorer which I still enjoying driving. I see the physical buttons aging better, but the truck has so much tech in it anyways I guess that stuff will be giving up as much as a 12” screen. Hence my eternal debate. Fingers crossed my order will be placed in the next two days.

My screen works with gloves and the screen is so large the controls are big enough to not miss. But I do understand what you are saying. First thing we do when getting in is tap, tap, tap to get the seat heaters working. I had to have a manager who had to have a regional FCA specialist order mine. At some point, someone is going to realize that two different software systems to do the same thing doesn’t make sense. The website does it. I different system for actual orders just leads to problems. Good luck with it.

The trailer mirrors are NOT heated either. Found this out after the fact. I still like them for towing, but it sucks to have to scrape frost off them....

Just curious, is it possible to activate the seat heaters, etc. via voice commands, rather than touch?

Also, some have customized their screens to put their preferred icons in the customizable row of icons at bottom of screen, so they are always one touch away. Conceivably, could one reprogram that bottom row of always-available icons depending on the season?

Nope. That's is not an option in stock configuration (no hacks).

I have my shortcuts set up this way, allowing quick access to the stuff I use daily:

Too bad there is no voice-control of the vehicle's basics, but at least as you've set up your shortcuts, one can get to the seat heater screen with one tap. Once you get to the seat-heater screen, how many taps does it take to adjust the seat temperature? Can one do that without having to look at the screen much?
Thanks.

One tap. Starts at high, two taps med, three low. Same for the seat ventilation. Fairly large icons. Easy to tap.

Well , thanks to the policticaly correct "me to" movment, you can't say anymore "Baby, its cold outside" Canadian radio stations are not allowed to play that great song.
What a world.

My gf and I were just talking about how ridiculous that is and how over sensitive people are this morning.
