Trailer Brake Control

Does anybody have any suggestions for a trailer brake controller? 2025 ram 1500 3.0 S.O
I’ve seen a curt wireless setup that looks convenient. Any help would be appreciated

There’s been a lot of problems with installing a Mopar TBC in 2025 RAM 1500s. Dealers (a lot of them) don’t know because their parts guys don’t have the right information. The 2025 has a new CAN bus architecture which makes previous years’ TBCs incompatible.

In the 2025, the TBC Module is behind the rear seats. Depending on how your truck was built you’ll have one of 2 options to install a Mopar TBC.

(EDIT: These data and part numbers are for 12” screens, There is currently no part for 14.4”)

OPTION 1: If you have a cable harness coming out of the existing TBC module with a tag...

The kit is available, comes with the switch, controller and wiring (which I did not use/need). My current issue is there was no cover plate for the remaining space. My dealer is working on finding the correct filler plate. This is on my 2025 Rebel X with the 14.5 inch screen.

Had to install the switch in the dash (connection was there) swap out the trailer control module behind the rear seat (existing on is lights only, new one is lights on brake control) The switch does not have the (+) and (-) gain on it, it shows on the display screen just above switch. So yeah, dealer needs to program it. Also, you odometer will will flash unit the dealer programs the truck for the new controller.. I guess this happens when any control module is installed and not programmed. Again, this is for the 14.4 inch screen. I would assume the procedure is the same for the 12 inch. The switch is different as it has the gain buttons physically on the switch versus on the screen

I thought I updated the post, but apparently I did not. I don't have that part number anymore.... It seems the dealer parts department looks up parts by VIN, and can only see the parts for that VIN, so I ended up searching various dealer's on-line inventory for a truck that had the same screen and with a brake controller. I provided that vin to the parts department and they were able to get it in. Hope that helps!
