Because I know how to drive and the truck doesn't. Tranction and stability in my experience only gets in the way of a good driver having a "feel" for how the truck is handling. I wish it was an option, like e-torque that I could have done without.

Unfortunately, as of around 2012~, ESC has been required in all new passenger vehicles sold.

I had a 2013 Toyota tundra you could turn it off on.. arduous process, yes.. but it could be done!
I'm fine making it a deliberate process. Keep a down the urges. But I would be more than happy to put it in park, press traction off, then press and hold again before it is 100% off. That's fine!

I'll be trying all these options, thanks for the info! I've been running a 2012 Raptor for the last 7 yrs and when you turn TC off, its off!

Driving in sand dunes (4X4 Hi) this morning for the first time in my Rebel I could feel the ESC kicking in and braking the front wheels. It was more an annoyance than anything else as it slowed momentum but I can see this being dangerous if you were cresting a dune and it brakes the inner wheel. At best you'll get stuck, at worse, upside down!

I wish Tazer or a similar tech company would incorporate something to allow ESC and Traction control to be disabled whenever you wanted. I'm sure there's a way to, like an "engineering mode" or "test mode" that can be enabled somewhere in the computer that will allow that kind of stuff to be turned off. the only other thing I can think of it is a sort of switch for the ESP circuit.

With the Tazer DT, I can completely disable the ESC, stability and traction control by pressing the traction control button for 5 seconds in any drive configuration (2 wheel or 4x4) and make the local grocery store parking lot into my personal drift course. It's in the Tazer instructions as well as having it disabled with every start up.

wow, I didn't see that on their site. I will be buying one asap then! Thanks for the info.

Pretty much crap that I feel I need to pay $329 to disable traction control!!! LOL

Agreed 99%, the last 1% goes to the fact that you get a lot of features for that 329. Imagine what the cost would be from the dealer to do all of that stuff!

My wife would love it if you could set the passenger seat to auto turn on. lol I would get her blessings to buy it if it could do that!

Goes hand in hand with having a headlight switch off position that doesn't kill the lights. Stupid, just don't make sense to me.

I can turn traction and stability control off, just in 4x4 lock or 4x4 auto modes. It will turn back on above a certain speed but is totally off. Just hold the switch down for 5-10 seconds in 4x4 lock or 4x4 auto...big slides on snow with no traction control kicking on.

Speaking of fuse F26, I came across this thread when I had my 4th gen

Long story short, connect a relay to F26. To make it real trick, connect the relay to a wireless switch that is activated by the garage door opener. No need to get out and crawl under the hood before making doughnuts

I'm considering installing a yaw switch so that I can disable the ESP. I might just survive with removing the fuse for now. I'm goin to rip it on the sand today! Just need some good mud to floor it in.
