Honestly? I love the thicker look of the 33's. They just look better on the truck for me.

Updated photos. Got a lil over 10k on them now, they're still excellent. Wearing evenly, rotating every 5k. Excellent traction in wet conditions and they really give a good "stuck to the ground" feel that just wasn't there with the stock Good-Years. The 3.92 handles these things no problem. 2020 Limited w/ 285/50R22 TOYO AT3s. Stock air suspension, no spacers.
These tires are great at interstate+ speeds, slightest bit more hum than the stock 285/45s, but almost imperceptible and feels so much more locked in now. I can definitively say that they are excellent on snow and ice after a few hundred miles on those conditions in the northern Colorado mountains. I keep at 55-60 psi and the ride is surprisingly smooth For LT tires, feel even smoother than the stock 285/45s In city and backroad driving—which I write off to the extra inch of sidewall. Huge upgrade in how the truck drives and feels, as if the tires were specifically engineered for this truck.
Should be noted that there is a slight rub in wheel well in Aero and Normal ride height at full turn. I only had to apply around 20 lbs of pressure with my fingertips where tires were rubbing to bend the wells out enough not to rub anymore.
MPG decreased by 1-2 with the new tires, but I can still get 18+ mpg if I behave on the throttle.

Ive got the same truck and have been struggling with the tire size for a year. Recently started looking at this tire, but wasnt sure what size; this is very helpful!

Hi all,
I was following this thread for a while before I bought the AT3s. So far they have been great. They feel more stable. Only slightly louder than the OEM tires. As far as fit, I have the 33x12.5 R22 on stock wheels. I have a 2019 Limited 2wd The only rub I got was on the passenger well when locked to the left. I had to remove a very small piece of well to clear all heights and radius. I have some photos of the piece I removed as well as the truck at entry/exit, normal, and OR2.

Where are you all getting your tires? Best I have been able to find for 285/50 22 is $414/tire for the Toyo’s at Discount Tire. Trying to find the best price for my purchase.

i was like you.couldnt find anything.guys kept arguing over "Toyo&nitto".so i tried "Falken"no deals and the ones i did find we all out.so i did a search on "ConsumeReport".another brand they mention were "FireStone Dest.At4".and they were in stock and on sale....SOLD.had them put on last month.Mech gave it a test drive.so i got my phone to see how they look..but how does my truck sounds like from the outside when it goes by (y) 🥳

Trying to decide between the Continental TerrainContact ATs vs the Toyo Open Country AT IIIs.

I live on a 1/2 mile gravel drive, but aside from that, most driving is on pavement. However, with having a truck, I'd like to be able to feel comfortable knowing my truck can handle/perform in mild off-road terrain conditions, but I don't want to sacrifice too much for on pavement performance (wet/dry/snow). I'm looking at maintaining the stock size: 285 45R22s on my 2020 Limited.

I don't want to have a "loud" truck tire and maintain the quiet/comfortable cabin and ride the Ram provides. Maybe I'm best with an All-Season, but I like the AT look better (even the more mile ATs) and the comfort knowing they'll perform to get me out of some mild situations if needed.

First time truck owner. The OEM tires are pretty much shot at ~18k miles (no surprise given all the posts on this forum). Bought the truck with about 17k miles, so this is a decent investment right off the start.

-Thoughts on either of these two options?
-Any 1st hand experience with impacts on MPG?

I ran Terrain Contacts before. They are nice tire and super quiet. Not much of an aggressive look, but still a good looking tire. You should see no difference in fuel economy if you are going oem size. I really like the Toyo ATIII', but have not run they yet. My guess is they will be slightly "noiser". But it's really subjective. Neither tire is loud. No one will hear any tire roar from your truck coming down the street.

Awesome, thanks for the 1st hand feedback on the Terrain Contacts. There are a lot of tire threads and feedback on this site, which is great. But it's so much information, not to mention going to tirerack and researching...researching...and researching some more. I think personal feedback will sway my decision more than the rankings on consumer reports or tire rack. Thanks again.

If you do most highway driving, you should be looking at the Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires
Do not want LT tires, too stiff and no need for all the extra load capacity so it would be nothing but a waste of more money.
