MSRP is irrelevant.

Why. He just showed that it is extremely close.. a 2500 gas is not much more than a 1500. That is fact. The Cummins and especially the 3500 version with Aisin trans is the expensive one.

Now a Laramie longhorn is also more...but so is its 1500 counterpart

I acknowledge that, but, there's still not a $20k difference. I also have the sport appearance package at another $900 and 5th wheel at another $450. So, a 2500 loaded Laramie should be about $63,250 MSRP. You could probably order it right now for $58k. A similar 1500 couldn't be had for less than $50k in my opinion (with the 12" screen, towing tech package, safety group, 4x4). Throwing out a $20k difference is just grossly inaccurate.

Speaking of Aisin and Cummins.

Worked at both places. My dad is and has been their lead Chemist for 42 years, finally retiring.
I used to work there as well, then worked at Aisin for a few years in multiple departments. Sorry, off topic but it's a small world

I tow a 6000# 28' travel trailer with my 1500 ram. the whole rig with me and fuel weighed in at 11540# with 620# of it on the hitch. pulls well from a stop and brakes are great...my trailer has 4 wheel brakes...but is a load for sure. I added Helwig sway bar and I add some air to the rear tires when towing. I set the cruise for 70 and it will stay at 2000 rpm till I hit some grade. I can get 11mpg on flats but 8.5-9 on hilly roads. YMMV but my truck works hard pulling that load and I doubt if I would go bigger without moving up to a 2500.
