Thanks for this. I ordered the same one on Amazon yesterday and delivered today. The seal is so much better than the Undercover one. However the tape that comes with it does not stick well to plastic, even after using the alcohol prep pad. I had some 3M tape leftover but even that is having issues sticking. I am hoping with the sun hitting, it will stick better.
i used a heat gun to warm up both the plastic & the sticker. the heat helps a lot to make the tape stick better. i also used it to straighten the weather strip since it came rolled up.

Pace Edwards Switchblade Metal. I’ll post a few more photos when it’s daylight, it got dark on me before I finished the install. Initial impression is this is pretty cool! And the canister is very small compared to some of the other options out there, doesn’t take up much space. Happy so far, might take it through the car wash tomorrow for a test run. My wife thought it was cool and easy to use.

Very nice! That canister does seem pretty small compared to what I had seen while searching for a metal roll-up tonneau. If I had seen this, I might have gone with this despite the higher price tag. Lol

It's not the New Year 2021 yet but out with the old and in with the new. I've had the Extang Black Max cover on for 2 years while I tried to figure out which cover fit my needs the best, so many choices, felt like a kid in a candy shop. I had considered the Lomax, Extang Exceed, Truxedo Sentry CT and finally went with the DiamondBack HD smooth. USA ingenuity, lifetime warranty, 1600 lbs. on top, easy removal (4 - 9/16" bolts ) and a few others. Added weight and cost are two drawbacks but my 3 sons paid for it from their inheritance.
I've been lugging around a batch of tools in/on the back seat and too tired to remove at the end of the day finally pushed my decision to the DB HD for the security and load on top of cover.
Big (y) to DiamondBack for "service" (aka answering the phone, being able to understand them and answering a question quickly). Anybody buying one put the clamps on the inside of center rail as per directions and pictures, it will save you some head scratching and a phone call.

Thanks to former posters of the smooth DB which also helped in my decision. By the way that is my 2001 in one picture with an Extang Black Max Tonneau, it's on the 2nd cover which last about 10 years without extensive care, probably a lot longer with 303 or Tonneau Tonic (I think it is 303) from Extang

This thing is great. I could see a little vibration in my rear view mirror on highway bumps, probably need to adjust the placement 1/8” closer to the tailgate to hold the end tighter. The cover is spring loaded so it opens really easily. Locked up when the tailgate is closed, and no extra keys to carry. Exactly what I was looking for.

Congrats Man, and I bet you can't wait. I went crazy when my wife brought mine home and my 5 years old daughter handed over keys to me on Fathers day. It was a insane feeling. Since than i take this beast everywhere i go :). I also hope you will like your revolver 4. Let me know how you like both and do post a picture or two.

Did you get RAM Box? if yes, than check window sticker page for your truck or invoice to see if it list "Bed Utility Group". If it does than this divider/extender should come with your truck. Mine did came with truck. I had to buy following in order to use this divider/extender: Handle - Swivel Release (Part NO: 68054996AA) and Inner Panel Grommet (Part NO: 68054997AB). This two parts no longer come with Truck due to Federal Laws compliance issue change for 2019.

Bought those two parts at MoparAmerica.com

I’ve been very happy with my Diamondback HD (and Bedrug). Super easy install and very solid. Took me 2 years to finally replace my "temporary" Extang Black Max (BM) with the DB HD, so many brand options available with pluses and minuses. Great product and US company. Water tight from what I can tell so far. Two friends also have them and are very happy, one replaced a soft cover and the other went right to the DB outlet for a few $ savings.
The BM served me well but did not keep the water out like the BM for my 2001 Dodge 1500.

Jako- Sounds like you’re like me- I always “overthink” this kind of stuff... but I’m glad I looked around long enough to find Diamondback - I agree their service is amazing and dealing with them is a joy... I’ve yet to hear anyone say anything but great things about the company. I know they are growing fast and hope they maintain that level of quality and customer service.

Yes - DiamondBack restores my faith, probably the best company I have dealt with that I can think of off the top of my head. Sometimes "overthink" but "attention to detail" helps "get it right the first time" versus "learn by mistake". I have bought a lot of tools over time and never regretted buying a good tool.
It is nice to open the bed up and not see water at the back of the truck, don't know what that would have cost with long term ownership.
I've suffered delays because of "paralysis by analysis" and being in "the right frame of mind" to start - but better than "do overs".

Lomax . Hardware for the cover bolted on top of the original rails & kept the usability of the rails & anchors. View attachment 75869

The only complaint is that 1 inch gap between the tailgate & rambox. View attachment 75868

Lomax did send some weather stripping that DID NOT cover the gap properly so i purchased & trimmed a different weather strip which i think works better.

Can you please tell me what finish that is on the cover. Is that the matte black or Urethane finish ?.

Just ordered a 1500 limited with night edition and BUG packages. I want to get a revolver X4 for it (I have seen mixed reviews on here but loved it on my tacoma). I’ve seen posts saying the black rails that come with the night edition tonneau don’t work with other covers. I think all of the posts I have seen have been trucks with ram boxes. Is it the same for a regular 6’4 bed? Or should it be easy to swap the covers out? Also, any interference with the BUG rails?
I have the exact same question so hopefully someone will reply!! Thanks much!

Installed my Truxedo Pro X15 today. Happy with it so far. Got a great price from Luke at Truck Alterations, [email protected].

Have you had any issues with the felt coming off the bottom in the heat? This is the one I'm considering for my Rebel, but I've seen some issues with that... AND I live in Texas so heat is going to present in abundance.

Yes, in attached pic where arrow pointing did in few places started to separated from aluminum after about 13ish month of use. I did contact revolver about it than they asked me to file a claim but I just bought gorilla superglue and corrected the issue myself. No issue since than. let me know if you have any more question.
