Swapping Halogen Light assembly for LED assembly?

Hey guys,

I'm considering buying a 2019 Big Horn. It has all that I want except the LED assembly. Is it possible to do a straight swap to the non projector LED setup? I like that one a lot.

They look like the same shape.

Thoughts?

Yes and no!
At the moment there is still no harness available for the headlights and headlights alone will be $1000+

The tail lights I seen are plug and play but again you will be spending over $1000+ On them

So if you were like me that want the led package I will keep searching and just find the truck that has the package for $995. It will be worth it at the end

That's pretty disappointing. I've been searching and I haven't had much luck finding what I want. I found a truck that has most of everything but the lights.

The one part of my configuration that makes it tough is the air suspension. Everytime we look at trucks with it, the number of available vehicles drops to zero.

I was in the same boat that you were in. I got every option on my truck but because it’s a big horn I couldn’t get the LED headlights when I have a crew Cab Long bed, pano roof and premium sound. Can’t even make it on the build your RAM on the website. So I ended up buying led headligt bulbs and switched every bulb in the front end to LED. Big difference and makes it a whole lot better. I will also be lightly tinting my headlights so it gives it that dark look like the LED factory headlights have. That will be done in the next month

What bulbs did you use for the headlights and fog lights?

I got my headlight bulbs from headlightrevolution.com. All I got were the low beam bulbs from them because they are quite pricey but man are they bright.....I mean BRIGHT. pretty sure they are brighter than the stock LED lights from RAM. The high beams and the fog lights I ordered from eBay which both sets were some off brand Cree lights. I believe the color is 6000k. Yes they are expensive but seriously I would do it again if I had to. I also got their reverse light bulbs from headlight revolution which are really nice at night with the backup camera.

Could you put links for all the led lights you got having a difficult time finding reliable LEDs. Also did you have to order canbus decoders for them or did they work without them?

Headlight Revolution - 2019 Ram - low’s / blinkers
High Beams via amazon - bought these because they were 3x cheaper

Low beams are somewhat difficult to install if you have large hands. They have an install video on YouTube. They came with two PWM modules

Here’s a picture of the led’s vs stock

Wow. Very nice. Big difference in how white they are.
It’s inconceivable for vehicles in 2018 to still be sold with crappy headlights.

I can vouch for the HeadlightRevolution Supernova v4s, I installed the low and high beams. Very very bright, great beam pattern, nice neutral white light color. Made up for my lack of the LED option on the BigHorn. Note: I am not affiliated, just use and love them.

Some dealers order them on every truck, and some don't order them at all. I found a dealer that had a couple of trucks with my wish list: LED, Level 2, 3.92, and anti-spin.

Only thing that sucks is that it depends on what the truck already has on it. My truck is a crew Cab Long bed 5.7 eTorque. Level 2 with the premium sound system and the panoramic sunroof. Also the sport edition. According to RAM themselves they would not be able to add LED lights in the big horn edition. I basically had the big horn maxed out is what they said. Even to try to configure it online it would not let me so I told my dealer to order exactly what I wanted and ended up getting everything but the led lighting. Which is fine because the bulbs I have on the truck now are brighter than the RAM led lights but during the day it doesn’t look as cool obviously

That is really odd. If you go to the configurator on Ramtrucks, it lets you add it now. There must have been some issue at the time of your order that you could not add it. The dealer configurator is usually different the the Ramtrucks site.
