No, my camera is latched at the end position. There is no way it can move.If you push camera from behind it will pop-out, as bracket is only supporting it back side. Camera is not latched in that bracket.

My temporary spacer made from mini M&Ms tube.Probably You guys are right. Mine is still sitting inside do not want to remove the latch now, but will order this spacer with the next bunch of parts, makes no sense to pay $10 for $1.5 part. How thick this spacer? May be few rubber washer rings can be used instead. Was not planning more modifications. Only HUD and Mopar air lift suspensions are missing on my truck, all other features possible for the Laramie are factory installed or added with the help of this forum (special thanks to @Jimmy07)
I just used short 1' long adapter. You do not need 3' long.To those who have completed this mod, are we reusing the old backup camera cable and using this "1 of 3' Fakra Z - Male to Female https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P2WYP98 - Tailgate Camera Adapter" to connect the new 360 camera to the old cable? TIA
Got it but we are reusing the cable from the old backup camera correct?I just used short 1' long adapter. You do not need 3' long.
Yes, partly. You have to add adapter to the existing cable on camera side and extend this cable from the radio to CVPM.I just used short 1' long adapter. You do not need 3' long.
Does the CVMP plug into the old rear camera port on the head/radio unit?Yes, partly. You have to add adapter to the existing cable on camera side and extend this cable from the radio to CVPM.
Yes. The rear view camera goes from the head unit to the rear on the CVPM. And the out in the CVPM goes to the connector for the rear view camera on the radio module.Does the CVMP plug into the old rear camera port on the head/radio unit?
Thanks. Hoping to finish this up today.Yes. The rear view camera goes from the head unit to the rear on the CVPM. And the out in the CVPM goes to the connector for the rear view camera on the radio module.
You should make your own thread.I have a factory-limited DT that has suddenly produced a fault, All the other cameras are operating as normal but now the CVPM is giving me a black screen. i have taken it to ram and they have been unable to calibrate the cameras due to the lift kit not allowing the truck to go through its diagnostics. Any leads or information?
I don't think anything can be done except put it back to stock and then fix it.I have a factory-limited DT that has suddenly produced a fault, All the other cameras are operating as normal but now the CVPM is giving me a black screen. i have taken it to ram and they have been unable to calibrate the cameras due to the lift kit not allowing the truck to go through its diagnostics. Agreed. You should make your own thread.
Have seen here few guys, who did calibration having lift kit. If You can't do it, I would rather suggest to check other dealer.I have a factory-limited DT that has suddenly produced a fault, All the other cameras are operating as normal but now the CVPM is giving me a black screen. i have taken it to ram and they have been unable to calibrate the cameras due to the lift kit not allowing the truck to go through its diagnostics.
