Streaming features no longer work

So what exactly did you do??
Actually nothing, I was planning on calling Sirius this weekend, but coming home from work I noticed the "related" button was not grayed out. Checked a couple of the 700 streaming channels and all is good.

Don't we wish all problems cured themselves in this manner :p

No kidding hopefully we get some info on what the heck happened. I do know this morning on the way into work the radio for some regular channels said “not available due to programming change “. Old Sirius must have been up to something.

Only issue I am having which many are as well is that every so often the truck will start on the demo station and stay there while other times it will start demo and then switch to the last station played while OTHER TIMES it will straight start off with last station played lol

I barely listen to satellite as I use either Pandora, apple music or my thumb drive.

Ya but since it is free right now the decision is easy. I just tired of downloading and making playlists etc. And it is too expensive (in Canada anyway ) to just use data plan for on demand . That would be ideal for me tho. The variety available on Sirius streaming channels and on demand programming seems like a reasonable option. My guess would be that at some point they'll go to full on demand.

Well good news .. Streaming channels are back . Not 100% sure but even the regular channels sound better. Hard to tell. I haven't had the amp update done yet so I can't compare.

No dice for me. Streaming channels and the related button still greyed out.
I guess I will try to call Sirius.

Mine are still dead, too. Let us know if you make any progress with them. I'm going to avoid calling them for as long as possible because it usually does nothing but raise my blood pressure.

I did a live chat with them last night. Pretty much a waste of time. The person tried to tell me at first that streaming is only available for mobile devices. After I quizzed her, she copied and pasted all of the features of the Ram 360L All Access promo and made my point. She then said that I could call a number and that they could definitely help me. Blah, blah, blah.........

Called the number and Sirius was closed.......

So, I called Sirius. Person #1 checked my account and said that it looked fine and that I would need to talk to the technical support team.

So she transferred me to person #2. We spent a long time trying to tune the radio to channel 1 while she sent reset signals to the radio. Technically, she made things worse, because channel 2 is now no longer available for some reason. She said that there are people who are 360L specialists and she tried to transfer me there, but all she got was voicemail. So she gave me the number to call them later.

She also said that it was probably a module in the radio and to take it to the dealer. I had to tell my dealer how to install rear wheelhouse liners. I can just imagine how this will go....

I haven’t called the “360L” specialists yet. Don’t feel like spending more time in the truck in the driveway right now.....

I have had my Ram since yesterday morning and have never had the streaming channels or content. I can see the channels, but when clicking them it says "not available." Same with suggestions, it isn't greyed out but it doesn't work either (shows a wifi symbol with a line through it). FYI, it was manufactured on 10/15.

My search doesn’t work. All my channels show unavailable. What’s weird though is they all work. All the way up to the Latino channels in the 700s and the sports channels all work while saying unavailable. Search says will work when there is an internet connection. Something is going on with Sirius. Weird though because it’s actually xm radio based not Sirius based because preview is channel 1 like XM based and not 184 like with Sirius based radios.

Does anyone know how SiriusXM taps into an internet connection for streaming purposes? Is it through the Ram’s built in cellular chip designed for vehicle WiFi, through a paired phone (Bluetooth or hard connection), or does it have a separate cellular chip?

I called SiriusXM today. The CSR actually seemed knowledgeable about the 360L feature in our trucks. She asked me to click “my account” in the SiriusXM profile screen. When I told her that it was not listed as an option to even click, she put me on hold and spoke with someone on “360L team.” She gave me a ticket number and told me that not all of the trucks have this feature enabled yet. Apparently (according to her), they haven’t rolled this feature out yet to all of the vehicles. She said someone would call or email me soon about the feature. I will keep everyone posted.

My radio updated last night and today all of my streaming features work again!
How do you get radio updates? Does the vehicle have to be on, or does it update in some kind of low power mode in the middle of the night? Great news!

I noticed when turning the truck off that a message popped up saying there was a new software update available. I scheduled it to run at night (when the truck wasn't running and I wasn't in it), and it was ready for me in the morning. I'm not aware of a way to "push" the update to the truck. It just so happens that the update appeared yesterday.

I received a call yesterday from someone at SXM. They acknowledged that I am not the only one experiencing this issue, and it has been escalated to the 360L team. The CSR promised SXM would follow up as they get more information about the issue. I will let everyone know once (if) I get resolution. If you are having issues with streaming, I would contact SXM immediately and let them know.

If you don’t mind my asking, after the update, What’s the build date of your truck and what software versions does it list under the Radio Part Information (From the ‘hold both bottom outer buttons’ menu), and the siriusXM/Menu/System Settings from the normal settings screen?

Mine is a 7/21 build date, 12.1” screen, with the software 18.18.1b, Application version USA-KR-SBX-20.12.0-20180429-K09X, Bootmicro 18.09.01, and my system settings shows Version 1.10 and SXE DL version as SXE_DL_V12.20.12.

Every time I’ve talked w/ Sirius and explained I have a 1500 w/ the new 12” screen and 360L as described and shown in the video at:

https://www.siriusxm.com/trialbenefits?desktop=yes

I get told to tune to channel 1 (doesn’t exist, so I can’t tune to it) or 184 (MLB) for a refresh they insist is happening on my preview channel. It took 3 calls and an hour to get someone to get my TravelLink working a few weeks back, and my Viice Search still doesn’t work inside SiriusXM using the screen button for search (but my voice commands thru the steering wheel work great for changing channels, using nav, etc as does Siri when using a long press and things like CarPlay, etc). The *only* issue I’ve had with voice commands is when in SiriusXM and hitting the on-screen search and trying to find anything- the microphone icon pops up, acts like it’s listening, then says “Sorry, can’t catch that. Please search again.”

SiriusXM support on multiple calls insists they don’t have any voice search or steaming functions in their service, then I ask them to load the link above and I explain that’s my truck, and then it all falls apart as they deflect and say “That’s a dealer option”.

Thanks!

I just thought I would drop my version numbers in here for general info, considering my truck was built on 10/16:

Software version 18.27.17
App Version USA-KR-SBX-20.16.0-20180703-k0AC
Bootmicro 18.26.01
Version 1.20
SXE DL Version SXE_DL_V1.20.12
Satellite module firmware 11.44.0

Streaming has never worked on mine, but I only have had it for a week.
