Alright, mine is back from being repaired for the second time.

The dealer ordered a boot kit, as well as a special tool to crimp the boot that covers the rear slip yoke. The procedure involved removing the old boot to access the slip yoke, and to grease said slip yoke.

The bump is 90% gone I would say, but what I do feel might just be a 2-1 shift, as it happens as soon as I come to a stop, but is far softer and less noticeable than the brake-release bump was. I don't know what's normal any more, since I lived with that bump for so long. We will see how this progresses if at all - and if so, I did already notify the dealer that I still feel something. They've been very helpful and willing to listen, so I feel confident that if this problem isn't resolved, they'll stand by me as this approaches the third attempt at repair by FCA.

When nearly stopped and upon releasing brakes from a stop the truck stutters and gives a distinct jolt. Almost feels like stomping the breaks before coming to a complete stop. Anyone else? Feedback?
Mine has been at the dealer for 3 days for this same issue, haven't heard a peep from them.

I thought this was just a symptom of the Etorque system? I feel this at redlights where the engine shuts off, but not so much with the auto start/stop disabled.

Mine did this at 5500 miles. Dealer replaced driveshaft, problem returned 500 miles later. Took in for a second time for same problem, dealer ordered a kit to access the rear slip yoke. Found it devoid of grease, greased and sealed back up with a new boot. Problem is mostly resolved, but you still feel it, just far less harshly. I am betting it's happening now because that lack of grease caused enough wear and scoring on the splines that it will not be smooth again.

Dealer should have ordered a second new drive shaft AND the boot kit, and done the grease job to a new drive shaft.

I will probably be going in for a third time with this thing. I'm a pretty patient person, but this is just getting frustrating now.

Mine has done this since day one only when cold. First start up and it happens at the stop sign at the end of the block every morning. I'm sure the driveshaft has nothing to do with it in my case. It's as though the truck is dropping into eco mode just as you're coming to a stop and it almost stalls before the other cylinders kick back in. My gut is that this is a software issue in the ECM. Some copy and paste programming isn't happy and they won't do anything about it until enough complaints are filed.

Sorry all, no time for introductions. I'd been reading here about lots of subjects but finally posted on this thread today because I had a different take than what has been described above.

I wish that were the case. I've had two ECU/TCM flashes to newer software versions, and the problem went away entirely upon getting the new driveshaft.. for a few hundred miles. What is happening is the rear slip yoke is binding up for whatever reason, maybe lack of lubrication, and then it comes un-bound when tension is relieved by letting off the brakes. I'll be going in for the third time here soon, so it is most definitely not normal.

They replaced my driveshaft and it fixed it for now. I’ve driven about 500 miles to far and love it. I’ve read a few post when it drives good for the first 2000 miles then it comes back. Time will tell. I will update if it comes back.

I’ll be scheduling my third visit for this now. It’s back as harshly as ever.

They swapped my driveshaft around 8k, was back a few hundred miles later, and they pulled my slip yoke boot to grease it. The grease made it less harsh but didn’t fix it.

Sorry it took so long, but I finally have enough of a lull in my schedule to take the truck in for it's third attempt to get this bump to go away.

I am dropping it off on Friday morning, and the same technician (who happens to be the shop lead) will be looking at it again, since he knows the history.

Cannot wait to hear if they found the source, would love to have mine resolved. Sad that we have this defect on a $55,000 truck.

Mine is bad at 500rpm hot idle. At 750 barely feel it. 650rpm would be the sweet spot. Can't stellantis just send an update with a tiny bit higher idle rpm ??
