Alright, mine is back from being repaired for the second time.
The dealer ordered a boot kit, as well as a special tool to crimp the boot that covers the rear slip yoke. The procedure involved removing the old boot to access the slip yoke, and to grease said slip yoke.
The bump is 90% gone I would say, but what I do feel might just be a 2-1 shift, as it happens as soon as I come to a stop, but is far softer and less noticeable than the brake-release bump was. I don't know what's normal any more, since I lived with that bump for so long. We will see how this progresses if at all - and if so, I did already notify the dealer that I still feel something. They've been very helpful and willing to listen, so I feel confident that if this problem isn't resolved, they'll stand by me as this approaches the third attempt at repair by FCA.
