I find 35 Laramies with 2wd that have the Pentastar engines. But you're right on the long-bed option - they're all Hemis.

I'm saying you can't get the hemi with a short bed and 4wd. It's really weird. Available with either bed in 2wd. I think the 6 there are no restrictions.

Short bed, 4wd, Hemi - that's by far the most common option that's been built (22,990 of them). There were 219 of them built just today.

I'm sure there are some still in the production schedule, but they can not be ordered now. Confirmed by multiple dealers, because I didn't believe the first one.

You shouldn't believe them. Of the 22,990 built, they cover the entire range of VIN groups - including brand-new VINs in the 682 group.

As you can see by my info, I had decided to wait til 24 model to order again, due to the fact 24 production will start very soon, and then it's a year old vehicle with about an instant $3,000 less value. When they offered the 10% on Laramies, I thought that would offset the model year loss. Then I found out no V8s, so I'm back to waiting for 24s.

3 dealers have told me you can not order a Laramie, Hemi, 4wd, short bed. 2 local, and I contacted Mark Dodge. Plus there are a few others that said the same thing on other threads. I actually went to the first dealer to price one. He gave me a price, but I didn't order that day. Later that day, someone made the comment about it. I said he was wrong, I had gotten a price that day. The next day the salesman told me he could not order one. I then contacted the other two.

Probably just a temp restriction (and it could be for certain dealers only - I've seen that happen before). All I know is that the data is showing me that they're steadily building those, and across the board on VIN groups. There are 799 of them (built) in the 650-and-higher groups...those represent orders from April and May.

The restriction just started a week or so ago. I'm sure it's temporary, but the production year is ending soon. 2500 orders are for 24s already.

Soon is a relative term. They've got a backlog of "at least" 40,000 orders to fulfill (but probably not all of them will be built). At the current rate of production, it will still be about 2 months before they finish up. And they're still adding VINs to this backlog.

That's less than 6 weeks production. I'm not in a rush. I only would have downgraded to a Laramie due to the deal.

Dealer told me my order came off the train at the rail yard this morning and unless there are delays with trucks it should be on the lot soon. I made an appointment to stop in Friday to run all the numbers and value the trade etc. so if I am lucky I'll be driving the new truck home on Friday. That would be 7 weeks (49 days) from order to delivery. I'll probably lease rather than purchase as the sale price after incentives is close to the 10% off incentive but the lease rates are much better than the finance rates seem to be right now.

Do you know what rail yard your truck went to? Mine went by rail from SHAP to Cottage Grove MN and was unloaded at 9:45 am on Tuesday and then went to the dealer in Bloomington on Thursday.
