Yeah that's pretty shady and as others have said it's a typical tactic they use. There's no reason you can't have a deal worked out at the time the order is placed, and if they are worried about a price increase they can opt to price protect the order so both dealer and customer are protected against a price increase between the time of order and time of delivery. They just don't want to do that, they'd prefer to do business another way.

Glad you're going to get a quote from MD though, never hurts to at least check the numbers! If you do order with them be sure to verify the price protection option, and you will know the price you'll pay for the truck once it arrives.

Is D1 anything other than order confirmed?

I ordered it and the first correspondence a week later is this... D1.... Reading all the posts, there's a lot of potential at this point to be perpetually delayed, or have it built and ready to be shipped by ESD of 4/22

My 2022 Patriot blue limited 1500 has the same ship date as you 4/22.

Even though still no WS, my dealer let me know the initial shipping information was finally populated. I'm in Western NY so truck will go by rail to Buffalo yard and then trucked to dealer in Finger Lakes region. Current info calls for transport to Buffalo by 4/3 and then trucked to dealer by 4/15. Soooooo, for me so far: ordered 1/4/22, VIN 1/5/22, ESD 3/17//22, BS 3/21/22 (with server update delay), WS ??, Rail Delivery Est 4/3/22, Dealer Delivery Est 4/15/22.

So my WS did finally post. Weird, but glad it's there. Counting down the days. . .

Yours is one of only two that came out recently that have a $0 MRSP. Both were to Puerto Rico so very likely something to do with export? Definitely strange. I am curious what the actual printed window sticker that ships with the truck shows?

Yes, very important to ask for price protection on your order. If you don’t get it, the price can increase before delivery.

How do find out about the build times? I have a new 1500 limited on order. I live in Illinois and my dealer told me it is supposed to ship on march 31. Thanks
