does it appear to anyone that ram is building trucks that take the most electronics and holding the basic trucks for later, like mine.
Yep, just why I said the other day.. ordered mine 6/16 but they’re not building any with the gas V6 yet..

Not sure why you think they're not building V6's. Of the 2,650 trucks ordered with that engine, they've built 210. That's about 8%.
Which is about half of the "hit rate" for the total trucks (they've built about 16% of the trucks on order).

I don't believe so, I'm sure my Limited order on 6/7 takes a few and still in D status next Wed 10/7 will be 4 months.

That’s very true. I hope like crazy for everyone else that the UC5 release goes smoothly.

My only fear now is that I’ll get tagged by eighty or triple in the next few days saying the truck I ordered is being built
Hey, if you can afford it, just buy it and then immediately resell it for a profit, assuming your dealer is giving you a price at/around invoice.

Where I live, a local dealer is already marking up 2022's by a minimum of $4k over MSRP. So, if you buy your '22 at invoice, you can sell it for a $5k profit and still be under dealer pricing.

So funny. That’s why I ordered 2 trucks. One with less options and one fully loaded that I’m going to keep!!

A quick internet search did not confirm this, but I did find this article from a few days ago: https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2021/09/25/shap-s25.html, which has some interesting tidbits in it. For instance, the author states a SHAP worker said that "the company has been stockpiling thousands of uncompleted vehicles missing instrument panels, radios and other components," and another worker stated that "A and B shift have been sent home every day after one hour of working this. This also means that Saturday is straight time for them. I think the company deliberately set this up to not pay them time and a half." Another fun one... "Everything is stretched to the limit. Since they're running 24/7 now, I don't know how they do maintenance. Maybe they don't."

Now, to be fair, the article is published on a self-proclaimed socialist/Marxist website, so the author clearly has a point-of-view to express. But, it still is an interesting read.

He didn't confirm the plant but in his defense he's not my sales person who I ordered the truck through. My guy is currently on a ventilator with Covid. He asked a person who asked a person blah blah blah. I let him know, at least at the moment, that the information he is giving me seems to be false.

Thought those were the Diesel v6 builds??

That's some BS if that's the case. It's the first time I've asked for an update since I ordered it at the end of July.
I’m just saying it seems that way knowing what we all in this thread know about the shap schedules

Yeah I'm not doubting what your saying. It just sucks when you can't get a solid answer from anyone on a time frame. Before they started producing the 2022s I could accept the "I don't know" answer. Now that they are making them there has to be a method to the madness. They should be able to tell us something other than "I don't know". I'm pretty lucky though considering. The dealership has given me a loaner until my truck comes in. I assume most aren't that lucky. Especially the one's who sold their trade-in ahead of time.
