Welcome Nehal. Let us know it this works. I may get an OEM rim and keep it in the bed. I have a truck cap so there is room.
Sorry for the late response, I loose track of all the dif ram forums .lol...

But yes I went ahead with this plan and it worked.

Obviously since this tire is wider than the original spare it sits a bit lower, but I wasnt too concerned, considering my lift. (Don't off road)

I just put 4 - 275/55/20 Cooper Discoverer A/T 3 XLT Load Range E tires on my 2021 Big Horn because I tow a 7500# GVWR TT. With no load I running them with 50 psi and will pump them up to ~65 psi when I tow. They're stiffer than the OEM's but ride smooth and almost as quiet as the OEM Bridgestone Duelers. I've decided to replace the emergency spare with a Load Range E rated tire. My spare rim is an 8 X 18, so I needed to find an 18" tire with the same diameter. It turns out to be a 275/65R18 which has only a 0.63% larger diameter than the 275/55/20's. I've found a Corsa A/T 275/65R18 Load Range E tire at Discount Tire with a good rating for a cost of $211.53 which includes mounting. balancing, and all the taxes. I didn't want to buy an extra 20 inch rim and the 20 inch tire is quite a bit more expensive. This tire may never hit the ground, but it will give me peace of mind knowing it's there if needed.

can I use 20 in. spare when my ram 1500 has factory 22's on it?
Vehicle doesn't care what your wheel size is. As long as the diameter of the tire is the same as what's on your 22s is all that matters.

Does it hit the track bar? I tried to put my 35x12.50 bfg at ko2 under there and it went up but rubbed the track bar and was squeaking just by rocking the truck a little. I would love to get the spare out of the bed and back underneath

If it was squeaking by rocking the truck you didn't make it right enough when you raised it up.

It was as tight to the hitch as I could make it go, but where the tire rubbed the track bar was where the sleek came from. I couldn’t crank it up any more. I tried moving the tire more left and right and just couldn’t get it to clear

Clears the track bar. I left the heat shields on to. So once it up. It’s pretty much stuck up. I grinded an 1/8inch off the back of hitch. Just The extra metal that stuck out.

Glad to hear the 270/70-18 will fit underneath. I was a little ticked when I crawled under to see the spare was smaller so I’ll be replacing it with a full size.
