I have had my 2020 for a few weeks and just started having a popping noise when I am slowing down. It happens when it downshifts to first gear. Right before I come to a stop. Usually pops twice. It sounds like it's coming from the rear of the truck. I don't know if it's the rear end, transmission, or rear brakes. Definitely not normal. Anybody else hear that? At first I thought it was something loose in the bed of the truck.

I know nothing about cars/ trucks. But I had that on my grand Cherokee. Chalked it up to air suspension settling when stopping. 50k miles had differentials serviced. Drove better than new. So maybe it’s bad diff fluid?

I been having my ram since mid October. I started to hear that (clunking/popping) noise coming from the rear 2 week ago.It happens when I quickly accelerate it after slowing down from the 3, 4, ,5 gear. :(

I have had mine since just before XMas. No problems with the truck itself. The thing that passes for a manual in the glove box is awful.

You can download the complete, full owner's manual online at no cost.

Yeah, I have it. Like I said, I guess i'll have to put it in the phone in iBooks or whatever. Wish someone sold (for a reasonable price) a printed version.

Bummer, sorry to hear that trouble. Is your new truck an E-torque?

Check all the engine ground connections, may be the cause given you have so many faults at once. After making sure all grounds are tight, disconnect the battery for about ten minutes. Then give it at least four hours for everything to reset. A lot of threads about grounding issues on the forum. If that clears your faults, great, but take it to the dealership and have them check it anyway. Good luck.

I haven't had mine for long, and driven it even less given what's happening in the world right now. Yesterday my 8.4 didn't turn on at start up. Drove about 1/8 of a mile down the road, stopped and restarted the truck, and it came back on.

2020 Ram Limited have had for 2 months. While on vacation at about 1,000 miles Electronic Throttle Control warning light came on. Diverted to local dealership, they reflashed it (?) as a TSB was issued for that matter. 3 hours on the road and it happened again, slows to limp mode, restarted vehicle and continued home with Check Engine light on. Once at home I left my camper hooked to truck and it (?) killed the battery. After jump starting all sorts of warnings were on. Took to dealership with about 1,800 miles. They say it needs a new Body Control Module, a device that operates everything; a central computer. Replacemebt part will be in next week, I'll update within a couple weeks.

Got a new 2020 Limited around March 20, no issues so far, 780 miles. Traded in a 2013 Ram Bighorn. The ride and all features are quality on this limited, I have not found one issue. Now after I can drive it after this stay at home is lifted and get to put more miles on it we will see how it shakes out.

I've had mine for a little over 3 weeks. It's a great truck. It also a still a Dodge/Chrysler.

So far with my 2020 Longhorn I've had the radio lockup, incompatible format for everything and volume knob do nothing multiple times Same with Bluetooth or andriod auto just being gone. Turning off the truck and waiting a minutes fixes it. That's going on my complaint list until its fixed.

I've also had a 100% dead battery. 0 volts overnight in less than 9 hours. No discernable reason. I couldn't charge it with a dumb or a smart charger. Couldn't jump it even with my RV and a combined 2000 CCA of juice. I had to slave another battery onto to it and charge them both and then resurrected it after a couple hours. That's a serious issue and If it weren't for the virus crap I'd have had it towed to the dealer. I saved the codes and freeze rame data and will get it documented for the future and the battery has most likely permanently lost capacity now. ( I've been sub crew and built lead acid batteries and lithiums the size of the truck by hand I know what kills them and how to bring them back from the dead, if only for a little while. )

I also find myself fighting the air suspension. sometimes it works great and other times it won't let me change heights at all even if I am going 5 mph or stopped. It's aggravating nanny BS like that I hate and makes me want to rip the switch off.

Aside from the typical nanny and electrical gremlins it seems to be a good truck. For $80k it should be farking flawless, but FCA. Still light years better than GM.

I've still got a 2000 Dakota SLT Extended cab and I felt the first few months of owenrship with it were much less troublesome. That said under the mopar warranty nearly every part of the entire truck was replaced. Brakes, powr steering, engine, AC, radio. Only thing not replced was the transmission and it started having issues shortly thereafter but laster another 40 thousand miles. It's sitting in my hangar as it only has reverse now and I just need the tme to replace the transmission. I have the tools and a lift. A cooler of beer and I'll have all the help from the neighbors I need.

yeah but not in their MyRam app, which is heavily advertised as having all the manuals and maintenance. The whole app is such a total fail in every possible way.

I had my 2020 for 2 days before I brought it in for some transmission issues. It started with slamming into drive hard enough to cause the truck to jerk forward. Then the first few shifts were super hard, along with the last couple of downshifts. It was also surging while using cruise control. All this with just over 100 miles on the truck. It has been at the dealer 2 weeks today. I haven't really gotten many answers out of them other than they are "troubleshooting" the issue. It's pretty frustrating to spend so much on a new vehicle only to have it be in the shop 95% of the time I have owned it so far.

Had mine 1 day before the driver side LED headlight ‘burned’ out. Looks like it had a bunch water behind the lens when I dropped it off. Been in the shop since Saturday, new headlight should be in Tuesday or Thursday.
