My 2021 BTS 1500 is about 1" to tall for my work parking garage. I was wondering if the puck antenna part 68328996AA on the 2500/3500 and 1500 classics will work on the 1500's. I think you lose cellular/gps but retain satellite. I am wondering if it would otherwise be plug and play and if anyone has swapped them.

If it is just a passive receive antenna with a 50 ohm cable, then why not.
Might have to throw some rtv around it to keep the water out. GPS is via satellite.

Interesting. I'd like to have a shorter antenna instead of that ugly shark fin. Below are two pics, the first is the underside of the 68328996AA and the second is the underside of the 68475114AA, which is the replacement for my 2024 Ram 1500. I assume the only seal is the small square shaped portion in the middle? Am I correct in this thinking? Different number of wires going into the shark fin, so does that mean it has more functions? I'd be curious if anyone has tried this swap.

Two cables for two antenna's is the most likely reason. The frequency bands between terrestrial and satellite radio are not close - one antenna cannot receive both.

You’ll retain gps and satellite radio antenna by swapping in the 2500/3500 puck, but you’ll lose am/fm radio and cellular antenna.

Bummer but that's good to know. This page shows the shark fin internals. Getting rid of the shark fin antenna? I wonder what the fin piece is actually for, cellular perhaps? Seems like that could be removed and a flat 3d printed cover added lol
