Service electronic stability control and check engine light

Hello!!! I have a 2020 ram 1500 limited and the electronic stability and check engine light came on. I didn’t lose traction or anything that I remember.

anyone else experience this? What is it?

Having this same issue as well. 2020 Laramie with about 2300 miles. My trucks been at the service department a little over a week now. A few modules have been replace however they aren't configuring with the truck. Techs are waiting on FCA Engineering for further instructions now.

About 3 days i had a similar issue. Backed out of my driveway started to drive forward and CEL, throttle light, and traction light all came on. Truck went into limp mode also. Turned back to the house pulled the codes and cleared them. It seems like no one else has had this issue. even Google doesn't show the U(communication) codes in a search. Im puzzled and hoping its just a fluke.

I've had the same thing happen. Took it to the dealership I purchased it from and of course that morning neither the electronic stability message or check engine light were on. They downloaded the codes and toll me some BS that since the light isn't on and message isn't there anymore they can't do anything. After they told me the codes the engine showed. Even the manager told me this.

It turned out that my truck had a split pcm connector pin. They replaced the cable and it has been good to go ever since.

Hi I was driving on the free way when the same message went up. When I exited, I noticed my gears were stuck in either 4th or 5th gear that my truck wasn't pulling right when I accelerate from a full stop. Turned of my ignition and started it again. This time it won't shift. Turned engine off again and waited for a couple seconds before turning it back on. I was able to shift this time however, the check engine light is still on. I've seen other people experience the same and it was a battery issue. Could it be the same for me perhaps?

2021 RAM 1500 LTD, 15,000 MILES. Drove the truck yesterday-no problems, went out to start today-battery completely dead. Got battery charged back up, started truck and got the notice on the screen: Service Electronic Stability Control and Adaptive Cruise Control Fault Warning. Decided to drive around the block, RPM's limited to 2000. I am sure I can't drive it to dealer, will have to have it hauled. Any suggestions before calling dealer in morning???

I'm guessing it's the battery . After you charged it was everything else working ? Like the radio screen , back up camera etc etc . Also welcome to the forum .

Follow up on this. So the engine light cleared itself, again. It will show up the service message whenever I will accelerate hard particularly when overtaking. When the service message comes up, I’ll simply stop and turn the engine off and start it again. Engine light shows up again. After 24 hours of soft driving engine light clears up. This is really scary specially when it happens when I’m in the freeway at freeway speeds. Could it be my new 35" tires causing this?

I have a 2019 RAM just rolled 60k miles. This same thing just happen on the way home. When I put the truck in park I noticed I do not have an E-Brake now, the RUN icon on the push to start is blinking and the engine fan sounds like it's in overdrive. After reading this thread I went out to start the truck to see if they had cleared but the truck will do nothing and the RUN icon at the push to start is still blinking.

Same here with my 2019 1500 limited bought “Ram Certified pre-owned”. Electronic Stability Control light came on, high revs engine straining just to go 35 mph. Then engine light on. Drove it back home, turned off then back on with a little trouble starting. Now it’s dead. Will jump start or tow to local shop which is run by ex-Dodge/Ram mechanic who now owns his own shop. Of course, truck is out of certified warranty.
