Retrofitting the 33 gallon tank

When it doubt just get a universal rubber hose that safe for fuel from the part store and splice that in instead. Oh and obviously use a hose clamp lol.

Can you not swap the old hose w/ the two extra connections onto the new pump and new canister?

What about the wiring that you unplugged from (those connection) from the original 23 gallon setup? Is that replaced with the swap or is that one of the wiring connect that still remain in the truck ? Hopefully this is understandable lol.

Nvm I see one of the new connections is longer. Yeah I would probably disconnect at the fitting (circled) then splice the old connection into the new. Not sure if the hose diameter is the same where you can just slide the cut hose over (where you disconnect from the fitting) then just use a hose clamp for added insurance.

can someone post the link to PURCHASE the alpha OBD adapter (and anything else required) to change fuel tank size to the 33-gallon tank? I had the dealership swap my tank from the 26 gallon to 33-gallon tank last week. but they said they didn’t know how to change the tank size in the truck. Now when I fill up the fuel gauge shows 326 miles and does not start decreasing until I run out the additional 7 gallons of gas. not the end of the world but would like to have it fixed.
Hey I know this is an old thread, but any chance you remember how much they charged you for labor and parts?

Have any of you that have installed the 33 gal tank, had the refueling issues that seem to plague some of us?

I had the 26 gallon and swapped to the 33 gallon in June. My old tank would not let me fill up. I also changed the evap canister and filler neck at the same time. Good ever since.

I just finished mine two weeks ago ,has been running fine since then .No filling issues.

My 2020 is going back to the dealer again as now I can barely get any gas into it...I have the 23gal tank.

mine (factory 26) just started having this fill issue. Saw where some peoples roll over valve was getting stuck. since it is integral to the tank they were having to replace the whole thing. saw a youtube video where a guy unstuck his with an inspection camera. shoved a camera down fill and could easily depress (with visual confirmation). now im trying to find time to investigate purge / vent. id love to go to the 33 but want to figure out what is going on first
