Prolly not the smartest thing to post yer gear in public - but since mine are all over FB, WTH, right?

Current carry - Kimber Tac Ultra II, with Corbon 165 +P JHP - when you care enough to send the very best.

Latest acquisition: Tavor SAR on top (had it for years) - NEW Tavor 7 on bottom (Sig Romeo Red Dot/Juliet 3X Mag)

I am a gunsmith/armorer (let my FFL lapse, not enough work to justify the hassle of maintaining) on top of all my other "vocations".

Regards,

Rick

I want you to be my neighbour when the zombie's attack. :giggle:

you could go watch cowboy action shoot near Jefferson .... shoots run april thru november ... do a search for SASS
They have SASS in Spring Grove. I haven't ever seen a SASS event in person so maybe i will check it out. I have 45 LC guns & lever action rifle so might give it a try one day.

Jefferson Outlaws are located south of Jefferson about 4 miles ..... go here to locate clubs .... https://www.sassnet.com/

You may want to let someone know that the link on the SASS affiliated club page "SASS Wild Bunch Clubs " is broken. When i looked at clubs near me they didn't state that Spring Grove was fast draw so its either changed or unclear on the Spring Grove website.

SASS has NOTHING to do with "fast draw" AND "Wild Bunch" has NOTHING to do with Fast Draw ... so you will NOT get any info on fast draw from SASS .. also, i have talked to several people local to Spring Grove and Jefferson, NOBODY has heard of a cowboy club or fast draw club located near Spring Grove ... don't know what else to tell ya ..... PM me IF you want to discuss this farther, don't want to take over this thread ... thanxs

It’s been a while since I’ve had time to go shooting. My new “friend” from the forum asked me to go, so I said heck yeah!

This is one of my weekend plinkers. As a Ruger girl, I went with the AR556! I changed out the grips and went with the red anodized charging handle and take down pins. Vortex red dot and magnifier. I use the 10 round when bench shooting, Pmag30 the rest of the time.

Let’s see what everyone shoots! Sport rifles, hunting rifles, pistols, archery, black powder, anything!

Finally got to shoot my new S&W 642 (top) today. Has a crimson trace laser grip which took some getting used to but I liked it.

lovin snubbies. Great carry. Never jams. Ol reliable. I don’t personally care for the crimson trace on the compact carries, especially revolvers. They are for close contact work.

Speaking of EDC, I must say I am impressed with the S&W Shield 2.0 Performance Center (9mm). This one has the Hi Viz fiber optic sights and (V) ported slide and barrel. They really got the trigger perfect on this one and the new stippling on the grip is awesome. Super accurate. Pleasure to shoot. Great EDC if you’re looking for something small, IWB, pocket or just lightweight. Otherwise carry the .45 ACP and just shoot once ;)

All True, but I have to say that pointing and shooting (accurately) at a big red dot is quicker and easier than I expected. And definitely better than aligning the front ramp sight.
