The light duty 1500s are fueling the fire...

The Ram brand posted a record sales month in September moving 56,447 vehicles. This bested their previous record sales month of August 2018 when they moved 54,808 units. Not only was it their best September sales month ever but it was the best sales month for the brand since it launched in 2009. The sales increase was driven by the Ram 1500 with a retail sales increase of 11 percent accounting for 30,498 units sold. Including government and fleet sales, light duty 1500 sales were up 18 percent accounting for 36,658 sales. While sales aren’t broken down by model year it appears as though the increased availability of the all-new 2019 Ram 1500 is helping to fuel the fire.

Ram sold more pickups than Chevrolet for the 3rd quarter of this year with 142,044 Ram Trucks sold compared to 133,329 Silverados for the months of July-September.

Woah what happened to Ford? They had a crappy September! Maybe an indicator of some Ram converts from the Ford camp??

Looks like 75k sales for the 7 models in the Ford F-Series lineup vs 56.4k sales for the 6 models in the Ram lineup, or an average of 10.7k sales per model vs 9.4k sales per model, respectively.

Not too shabby!
