Radio won't play when CarPlay running since iOS Update

Ever since I updated my iPhone XR to 13.1.2, my CarPlay has been super glitchy. If I am listening to the radio/SXM then plug in my phone for CarPlay, it won't let me use the radio and keeps switching back to the media playing on my phone. It will briefly play the radio for ~2 seconds then switch back to my phone, where it often is glitchy itself refusing to play. In my media screen the input that it plays shows as USB1 rather than CarPlay when plugged in, too.

Anyone else having this issue? It is rather infuriating.

Have you tried a different cable?

13.1.3 was released yesterday, give that a try, it is suppose to address some connectivity issues, specifically Bluetooth but ya never know.

Update: the software update to 13.1.3 seems to have fixed the issue...for now at least. Thanks for the suggestions!
