Price negotiated from MSRP

I didn't buy any products, nada, zilch, not even Gap.
I personally think the Mopar Vehicle Protection Maxcare plan is worth it. It has paid for itself several times on my wife's 2014 Grand Cherokee. If you're interested in adding it though, I'd get a quote from Ziegler and make the dealership match the price. This is an especially good approach if you want to finance it in with 0% interest. If the dealership will not match the price and you expect to keep the vehicle long-term, I'd still consider the purchase down the road. The warranty has other features too, like free FOB replacement, one day rental during service, etc. If you sell your truck you'll get a pro-rated refund or you can transfer to new owner.

I have no problem with the Mopar warranty, bought a couple myself. I do not buy ANYTHING in the F&I office at closing. Everything is available after the fact. I do not even permit F&I to offer to match. Ziegler is no sales tax, if you price match in F&I you still are behind considering tax.

More excellent points from you awesome people! Thank you for all of this. I did plan on purchasing the warranty after purchase and I am with Eldodroptop, I do not buy ANYTHING in the F&I office.

This is excellent information, thank you! I just want to stick it to them for 1. not even trying FCA for 0% 2. trying to sneak in 4k worth of extras without even any indication (we could see clearly through his sneakiness, the SOB lol). Other than finance dept, feel like we got a good deal and the rest of the place was pretty cool/nice.
One other avenue of approach I just thought of, contact your salesman and inform that person that you feel like you were truly screwed in F&I and lay out exactly what occurred. Tell your salesman that because of this you are going to have to reflect your feelings in the survey you will receive from the manufacture about the salesman and dealership. Anything less than all 10s on the survey is considered a fail and the survey does impact bonus. That may get a bit of traction from the dealership.

Another good review for Aaron and Jason at Mark Dodge. After some back and forth at the start of the year over various builds, I placed an order on a 2021 1500 Crew Cab 2WD Big Horn on 1/12/2021. It seems like I lucked out and ordered just before microchip and seat foam shortages. It was built in early March and arrived at the dealership 3/22. Jason delivered it to my door yesterday, 3/24, exactly as ordered.

MSRP: $50,465
Aaron's price before rebates and other discounts: $43,876
Access Fund membership discount: $500
Sales tax (6% of $43,876 - $500 Access Fund discount): $2,602.56
Applicable rebates since I took the subvented rate: $3,000
Documentary and compliance fee: $200
Inspection and temp tag fee: $24
Title and License: 56.30
Notary fee: $15
My local Ad Valorem tax was the only one the dealership didn't handle which should be about $1,682

So, final price before taxes and fees is right around 20% off MSRP if I'm calculating right. Including all fees and taxes paid at the dealership it drops to about 14.3% off MSRP.

Overall, I'm very happy with my experience with Mark Dodge, Aaron, and Jason and appreciate their help in getting me exactly the truck I wanted.

Everyone's financial situation is different BUT I put everything on credit cards in order to maximize points. Had I known about RAM Card, I would have signed up in November and by now would have charged the $7500 required to it to get $1000 back in a cert that can be applied to the purchase of a RAM. If you're waiting for 2021s or you can charge $7500 to it ASAP, you could get your $1000 cert before the truck you ordered arrives.

I wish the cert worked so that you could put the down payment on the card and get an instant $1000 off then just pay it off but it doesn't work that way

In addition, sign up for Tread Lightly + PenFed now. I also just put in $5.

I used the time I was waiting for my Tread lightly & pen fed to activate to shop around for the best price :)
I was all over the RAM Card site but could find nothing about the $1,000 but I did find it on the MOPAR DrivePlus MasterCard site. I'm with you. If I had known about this in December when I ordered my Limited I would have had the $7,500 charged by now. Thanks for finding this! I hope it helps others as it looks like a no-brainer.

Thanks Eldo!

Just a heads up for people who are on the fence, there are vehicles starting to come to dealers (specifically in Texas) with Laramie Group A, which means no Blind Spot Notifications....this might speed up my purchase timing

I've already purchased the vehicle and don't have any buyers remorse. Just wonder why they didn't go with FCA and think FCA could have done better on the interest rate. Please re-read my post. Thanks!
If you are not getting a special financing incentive from FCA they are usually not the best deal. Always get your financing preapproved with your lowest rate before entering the dealership. You need a number for them to beat.

So it is only BSM and Cross Traffic, anyone? RAM package A and B only have two options listed in the packages on their website.

Somebody had mentioned a coupon code or rebate you can receive if you own a vehicle other than FCA, I can’t seem to find it again, could somebody please fill me in?

Another positive review for Aaron at Mark Dodge!!! I just placed the order today on the following:
2021 Limited Crew 4X4, 5.7L eTorque, Delmonico Red, Night Edition, Black Power Folder Trailer Tow Mirrors, Limited Level 1 Equipment Group, 3.92, 33 gal, Pano Sunroof, MFT, BUG, RamBox, Tech Group, Trailer Tow Group and Trailer Camera Wiring.

Orginally, I was not going for the Night Edition until a Delmonico Red Night Edition passed me on the interstate while vacationing in Florida. I decided at that point to go for the Night Edition.

MSRP $76,130
Price before rebates $66,101
TreadLightly discount: $500
Rebates: $1,500
Sale Price: $64,101

% off MSRP - 15.8%

I am very happy with this deal. Aaron was responsive and willing to do what was needed and answer all of my questions. We even worked around some problems that the dealership was having with their email service delivering emails to a couple of different email domains. Overall, I gave him four different builds to do. He willingly did all four. Another dealer that I asked for their best price told me to pick the one that I really wanted because doing the builds took a lot of time. This is one of the other high volume dealers mentioned frequently on the forums. Overall, the Mark Dodge price was $2,800 less that the other dealer's best offer. It was a "no brainer" for me to do a "fly and drive" from Columbus, OH. None of the local dealers could come close to matching the price that I received from Mark Dodge. None of the local dealers apparently wanted to sell a truck because none of them followed up after they sent me their "best deal".

My current 2019 Laramie will be sold to CarMax when I am ready. Their actual appraisal was $1,100 less that what the on-line offer was. I took the truck in to have them give me an actual number. They offered me $1,000 to $3,000 more than any of the local dealers that I contacted.

Thank you to all of the posts that helped educate me on getting the best deal. SilentBob's posts are extremely helpful and very insightful.

Congratulations, the best I’m able to negotiate is 13.5% at the moment. It’s a hard call, I think I’m going go wait for a better incentive to try and get it closer to yours

Did you try an online offer from Carvana? They are stupid high right now, and they pay what they say.

I did sign up at PenFed. I am waiting on the sixty days but I already had a bonus cash allowance from RAM. Aaron said that the two cannot be combined but I will get the $1k coupon when I am close to taking delivery and see if it might be stackable.
