Price negotiated from MSRP

I was getting excited about the possibility of ending my lease early on my 2019 Big Horn and upgrading to a 2021 with a few more options given the crazy high used market. Went into it thinking I could keep my payments around the same as current $430/month on a 3 year 36K lease with the 2,000 in equity making up the cost of the options. Long story short the dealers around me are not even trying to get that business - quoting only $3,500 in incentives and not willing to offer a good trade value. Guess I'll have to wait it out until they have better incentives!

Was that a Laramie? If so how many miles? I think you might have got robbed.
One dealer offered 43000 in 10 weeks, another 47000 now, got 48000. With the 7% tax that's like 50290 . Retail NADA $52-55 if your lucky. I paid $52000 two years ago. Had 35k on miles

Oh that’s awesome then. Only $4k depreciation on a vehicle in two years. Can’t beat that.

Need some guidance here, purchased a 2021 1500 RAM recently and am not happy with the interest rate, 4.59%. Finance department said that I can refinance after three months, is this accurate? My credit score is over 860.

Yes you can, some folks say that they can refi immediately and nothing will happen to the $500 extra off (if you got that incentive). I waited the 90 days then changed...

I was told by salesperson they ask you to wait a few months, but if you don't it doesn't effect you. The charge goes to the dealership.

Did the February incentives include 0% for 72 months or did I hear wrong?

I ordered mine in December and the dealer indicated full price was $70,345, discounts and rebates took it to $56,699, then taxes and fees brought the price out the door to be $61,162. I will also get the 0% for 72 months when I pick up the limited tomorrow.

Congratulations and enjoy your Ltd, despite it’s “complexity” and many options which “might” be problematic. (Other thread on buying a Ltd).

It sure is comfortable though!
(They get really bad highway gas mileage too)

Here is my current custom build quote for a 2021 Big Horn. Seeing what this forum thinks on if they believe I can get more off the dealer discount prior to rebates/incentives.

MSRP: 52,485
Dealer Discount: 5500
After dealer discount = 46,985
Rebates: 4500
Price after discount and rebates/incentives = 42,485

What kind of trade values are people getting from dealers

This is similar to the deals I've been getting trying to buy off the lot - not as good as I had hoped. Are you getting a dealer to lock in those incentives on a factory order?

Dealer Discount is 10.47%
Add in Rebates gives you a 19.05% total discount.
You should be able to get the dealer discount lower, try for 13% or more.
As is often the case, Big Horn rebates/incentives are some of the best this month.

Dealer said those rebates would be protected and if the month I get the vehicle in has better rebates I would get those.

Dealer added a couple of points to the interest rate from the bank.

I had an 811 and got denied a few places for a $60K loan. I did get it for 3.49%
at one bank. Some of the others for 60 months were at 2.49% and for 72 Months
came in at 2.99%. Getting it for a half percent higher for 72 months I said What the Hell!
Go for it.

I refinanced immediately. Did not wait. By the time all the paperwork was processed, Chrysler was paid off in 5 weeks. Dealer wants you to wait because 3-4 months are required for them to get their commission (or whatever it's called).

Don't know if this helps anyone or not. The dealer that I bought from currently has ten 1500's, 2019 models (pre-owned) listed on ad. (Kernersville RAM)
The link may not go right to that page after I clicked "2019" "RAM", "1500" but here it is:

From the lowest: 2019 6 Cyl, Bighorn, 4x, $29,135
To the highest: 2019 Hemi non-ET, Ltd, 4x for $48,135

Most were crew cabs, from a low of 5,200 miles to 50,713 (the Ltd).

No way would I pay $48K for a 50K mile Ltd when I paid $54K for mine new 20 months ago... But perhaps that shows how the prices for 21's are up and so are values.

For the "thrifty" buyer, that $29K 4x BH quad cab is a decent price: https://www.31dodge.com/used/Ram/2019-Ram-1500-kernersville-0f3620f40a0e0a6b1eec8d707c7f2c9f.htm

Exactly! If they wanted to keep your business they would’ve given you the best rate possible.
