I didn't think it was that great of a deal either, (espeically with what's going on). I just didn't want to crap on the guys deal. lol

it is what it is, i want people here to be educated and not screwed over by what a dealer tells them, but just like in real estate i never get emotionally attached to a deal, only attached to money and how to make it, or save it.......

if you are working deals now and the dealer is close to getting their quota hold steady, your phone will be ringing, but incentives will get better

i had a ram dealer today bragging how it was ram truck month, when I told them thats great then why are gmc incentives better right now, i got silence lol

If you could safely draw 8-10% like back in the early 2000’s maybe yes but now at .05% interest? Nope.
A paid truck is way better than a debt, pyramid scheme real estate buyers notwithstanding. But then I’m in my 60’s and hate debt. Taught too many years ago to avoid it for anything but a house, and to pay that off early.
(floodgates are now open for the invest the money responses...).

never heard of what a pyramid scheme in real estate is, not having debt is not a bad thing, but if you know what you are doing it doesnt have to be a bad thing either, im down about 80k in non real estate investments right now since covid and havent lost a bit of sleep bc my real estate investments are solid, just hoping my renters still have jobs lol

Nobody except the worriers should be concerned about the market, it comes back, gotta have a longer term approach. Only people who were set to retire and cash out now got messed over.
It is an issue with renters, depending on where you are they cannot be evicted for non-payment, I’m sure more than a few will take advantage of that. Hopefully not yours.

slightly better than average, you another 1k easy on the dealer discount assuming there’s no trade in this.

As good as it gets if you ask me, jump on that one if you want the truck. Unless you want to see what April brings.

also seems like a Great deal, 2wd?

Yes, no need for 4x4 in Dallas TX lol.
Limited, level 1 options, body color bumpers, pano sunroof, anti spin diff, 22" wheels which I dont really like. I'd prefer the multifunction tailgate but that's difficult to find

Didn't seem like the Dallas area dealers wanted to deal much on what I was looking for. Also, seemed a few liked to tack on "dealer addons" and not let you have them removed.

there are huge limited 2 wheel drive rebates, also seeing deal discounts around 10k on the rebel plus mft rebates, very uncommon

I saw the same, I'm working with a Temple and a Houston dealer. Houston has the best deal do far. Meador in Fort Worth had hood prices, just no trucks with my options

I saw the autonation limiteds, they didnt have Limited Level 1 options. I was looking at one at autonation Katy Tx that was 44k but no level 1.

Autonation North Richland hills has a few 44k limiteds, they are not level 1s though. Grapevine has some 4-5 for 42k

I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but something doesnt seem right with these numbers I got from the dealership:

Negotiated Selling Price: $64983 (I have a lot of negative equity rolled in; it is what it is)
Financing: 0% @ 84 months
Payment: $845 - $855 month (not sure why it is a range; i qualified for 0%/84 mos financing)

My question is if I'm financing at 0% isnt just simple math: $64983/84 = $773 month
Why is there an extra $80/month tacked on? Thanks!
