I have one more question for folks with PPF. PPF installers have recommended not using a pressure washer on vehicles with PPF. What's the real risk of damage to the PPF or of the PPF peeling away after the curing period is over? Are they just covering their asses or is it a real concern?
I’m sure that the high pressure spray at the edge of the PPF could force water under it or cause it to peel. I use a pressure washer on mine, but I don’t spray close. I would not use an orbital polisher on it, no use. As long as the paint correction was done before the PPF application, it should always look good. Polishing PPF isn’t going to do any good.
