Poor gas mileage

Not bad. Similar to what I see on road trips

Speaking from a tech standpoint, there really isn't anything a dealer service dept. can do to try and fix a poor fuel economy complaint when all actual values of the vehicle are in spec. Plus there are too many variables at play that affect fuel economy. You bought yourself a truck with a V8 Engine, If you are too worried about fuel economy, go get yourself a hybrid or a Honda civic.

2021 Rebel here. Just finished engine break in and with careful driving I'm between 16.4 - 16.9 so far. Mostly used on my daily commute of 50 min. each way and it's a 50/50 split of backroads and highway. Not terrible but was hoping for a bit better with the eTorque.

The dash showing 527 miles.....
527 miles would be 20 mpg. Not unrealistic.

I've checked mine on every tank, up until about 2 weeks ago and it's never been off by more than .35 mpg. Most of the time it's ~.05 mpg. I think that's a fair definition of dead on balls accurate. 🤣

You hypermiling that HEMI?

That's about what I run. If I do at least 1/2 freeway then I'm up to about 15.5 when I fill up, but if I spend a lot of time city driving or have some fun then it drops quickly.
That was mostly HWY, I-95 to saint Pete FL and back, everyone was hauling butt.

Ivoryhemi, that 21 MPG figure for a 5.7 with 3.92's is amazing.

I know that every driver is different, and everyones definition of "highway" is so different that it's basically a meaningless word, but that dash shows you did 66 MPH and averaged 21 MPG.

I ran my truck on an empty highway at 65 MPH and and over a fairly flat 20 mile stretch, I got around 16.5. My overall average on the 5,000 miles I've driven to date is 16.

I drive it like a grandma around town just to see how high I can get the MPG's, but it's never able to maintain anything much over 16 MPG. I never expected to get the mileage posted on the sticker, but I did expect to get more than the 2010 F150 I traded in. :) It's a nice truck so far, and it's fun to drive.

Update...I just took my truck out to see what speed I'd have to drive to get 21 MPG, and the answer is 45 MPH. If I'm going 45 MPH, Ivoryhemi's 5.7 with 3.92's can pass me going 44% faster and be getting the same fuel mileage as me. Something ain't right about that. :ROFLMAO:

My 11 ram got roughly high 14s to mid 15 mpg. My new 21 ram gets almost exactly the same mpg on my short 6 mile commute to work. If I get on the highway to get to my girlfriend's house it may get up to about 16ish. I havent had a chance to any long distance driving with the 21 yet to see if it will get better mileage
