Any portions of the ORP easy to remove to gain a few pounds back?

Almost exactly 400# less than my Big Horn was. Although with all of the things I added (and was going to add) to the BH, the actual difference is likely half that.

Can anyone beat this payload?

Fully loaded 2022 RAM 1500 Limited EcoDiesel 4x4 with 3.21 and every option. Love the truck, but ouch on the low payload capacity. I think it’s the lowest I’ve seen in this thread: 1,056 pounds. 😢

I really screwed up with the sunroof and off road package. Can I just add 112lbs to my payload by removing the skidplates? Also, I have an MX4 Tonneau cover that must weigh 100#s.

We were going to look for a small travel trailer, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think I am limited to trailers in the 400# hitch weight range.

Do you have a CAT scale near you? If you do, load your truck up the way it'd be loaded to tow and go get it weighed. Subtract that number from 7,100 and that's how much you have left for your trailer's tongue weight and your WDH.

Yes, you can remove things to "get payload back." It won't change the number on your sticker, but it does change the number on the scales, which is really what matters.
