Photos of ‘19 Ram towing your boat

I just got my boat out of storage yesterday. It runs about 3500# including trailer. I pulled it 50 miles in some hilly north GA terrain, and it handled great. IMG_1132.JPG

what is your gear ratio? And does the air bags help a lot with stock tires and 3.21 gears? My future boat fully loaded will be pushing 7500# and truck is weighted for 8100

Gear ratio is 3.21. I use the truck for anything under 100 miles to tow the boat. For any longer distance or my bi-annual vacations to Florida, I rent a 3/4 ton.

The air bags are a must in my case. Tongue weight is 950lbs and the squat would be unbearable with the standard coils. I am running timber grove asam kit for the airbags and they have been rock solid on this truck and the Ram eco diesel I had before this one.

I swapped tires at 5000 miles for the nitto crosstek2 truck tires. Although the standard xl tires that come on the 20” would do fine with this weight.

Thanks for the info I wud be doing 300miles one ways trips to coast and if it’s to heavy for truck I have 07 longbed 2500hd Chevy to pull it if I must.

My enclosed 20' v-nose car trailer with my Camaro in it weighs about 7,000 lbs. Just towed from Florida to Michigan a couple of weeks ago. Drove straight through. No issues at all. No added suspension doodads, no wd hitch. See sig for truck info.

About 70 miles, some hills and a little headwind. Just under 5k pounds. Surprising 13.7 mpg

Anyone towing a nitro z21 or something similar with the 3.21?

Finally fueled up before and after a lake trip. 9.3mpg while pulling 6400ish pounds.... think it's slightly better than my 2016 F150 2.7l Eco..... but I didn't buy either of these trucks for economy. RAM pulls great, no issues with power or delivery.

I would get a 8,000 or 8,500 lb hitch ball if it is a 2" ball needed and a 10,000 lb or more hitch..... unless the ball is 2- 5/16" then 10,000 minimum for both.
