It's in the Owner's Manual (OM). In the 2021 RAM 1500 OM it's on pages 87-88: Tailgate removal section.

This came with the truck in my glove box, but I'm not sure what it is? I'm hoping it's an adapter to add several things to my Bighorn: upgrade the downgrade on my tow mirrors (foldable/heating), and (while I'm at it): 360 camera, Adaptive Cruise, and Lane drift warning. May as well throw air...

anybody know what this is for -- found it in the glove box and forgot to ask the dealer about it when I was there last month. I have a 2022 Ram Bighorn, 2wd, hemi with the towing package ( trailer brake control)

If you ever need to take your tailgate off, this is a dummy plug kit that the tailgate plugs into.
It’s a trailer kit, but due to parts shortages, they omitted the T.
