Unless they push the ‘22 model switch back even further, they’re up against a wall with the week shutdown (this week) for the chip shortages. And then the switch over expected, I think it was the week of July 19th. So, I’m expecting i’ll get a similar call soon as well.
I'm jealous of people who get calls. My dealer doesn't communicate crap to me unless I drive there and ask in person. 😒

If they bump my truck to a ‘22, i’m going to demand a name/number from someone at FCA and assurances that it will be given priority and built immediately upon restart of the line. It better be before any stock trucks and better be in priority based on ORIGINAL order date. (So I’d expect yours before mine).

If they cancel my ‘21 order and offer me a ’22 and don’t honour the same deal I’m going to tell them stuff it and this FCA customer who’s owned 5 Ram’s in the last 20 years already will be buying an F150 and they’ll never see me again.
yeah, I've been on the Ford site . I can probably get a F150 Tremor for what they have me for at RAM and I would probably get more for my trade too. Like you said, I will probably only do a '22 if they honour the original deal or give me way more for my trade. and guarantee it's one of the first off the line upon restart. i was more of a Ford guy. last 2 vehicle were Fords. I went RAM because they have better interior and over just look better. So, with me , they are really blowing it if they wanted to make a new long term customer. If i don't get a call by Wednesday of next week, I will be calling them.

A big reason I bought Subarus for 15 years is the service I got from my dealer. I good car dealer is like a good insurance agent, or any one else that services your needs. Hard to find, and if the experience sucks, time to go somewhere else. My Subaru guy sent me constant updates, got back to me on questions all hours of day and got pissed at anyone at the dealership that didn’t treat me well. He got promoted to commercial sales and didn’t have to service me anymore and he still took care of me when I needed a new car and I didn’t have to think or worry about anything. His service got him 9 cars from me and my family. The dealership he works for should be the model for how to run a dealership.

Leaving Subaru pained me but I wanted a kick *** pickup and they don’t make one (If Subaru made a full sized pickup, I would be first in line).

I was dreading going to a RAM dealership but so far have gotten real lucky with the guy I got. Gets back to me at all hours of the day on any question, etc. If the truck gets delivered and I can complete the agreed deal, I will have someone I buy from again as long as the truck doesn’t suck, the experience is key. If your experience sucks, ask for a new sales guy or go somewhere else….

That's awesome. I have 6 Ram dealerships near me and service at all of them is trash.

I went to my local Ram dealer. The bragged about their great service. Said they would bump someone from a service appointment to accommodate me. As someone who didn't buy from them...I was not impressed.

Got a way better dealer two hours away at another dealer. My sales person has been awesome as well. I bugged her almost weekly. She got me my updates as I progressed.

Anybody know if Crypto Sticker is getting its information from FCA?
I signed up and was emailed a build sheet last night but when try with the dodge, chrysler, or ram links still nothing found with this vin. I called ram chat and was told it is in vendor services, the salesperson told me on Saturday it was in trim. The line is closed but what about liners and rails etc..

Edit: Yes it is a FCA site but for the Jeep line, mine comes up as a Sahara but sheet shows all Ram and calls it a limited, shows my air dam, and 10 more pages worth of parts. Still want to know where this puts the trucks with the three other links showing nothing. Maybe we should be pinging Jeep Chat they might have a better idea of what is happening to our trucks.

I've had 3 Subaru's, my last was a Forester. Loved each of them. I too gave up my Subaru for a truck and would be 2nd in line if they made one. lol
This will be my 3rd "Dodge". First was a Ram, then a Dakota, now another Ram. ....at least I hope it will be, if it ever gets made. lol

I hear your frustration but you’ll kind of be cutting your nose to spite your face

No bueno. I ordered on 4/30. My truck was initially scheduled to be built by 6/26, then got pushed to "the week of 7/12." Now articles are saying Sterling Heights will be shut down for the next two weeks. Not nearly as frustrating as our friends up north, but frustrating nonetheless.
Did you check your build sheet? Mine was week of 7/5 or 7/12 and ended up being built last week, found the build sheet then and the window sticker over the weekend.

Subarus aren't just a car, but part of the family.....they aren't fancy, but they put their money into the most important parts of the car, have an AWD that never has a problem and are reliable as hell. I have never had to take any Subaru in for anything more than routine maintenance and a few small recalls over 5 different cars. There is just something different about them that makes them special

Thank you for mentioning this, I'm thinking of getting a Crosstrek for a small, fuel-efficient runabout that is easier to park in the city. Prices are up, demand is high, and inventory is low but I'd like one sooner than later.

Are you usually able to obtain a fair discount off MSRP on Subaru's, in general? I know things like WRX are different, but for the more "normal" models I'm curious what is usually attainable.

The Dealership I dealt with was the no-haggle, no pressure setup where they gave a fair price (usually invoice +$500 or so), applied what ever debates where going on, and there was no discussion or haggling. Made things much easier as you never had to worry about getting into those lame discussions negotiating price (another reason I loved them). They also showed, MSRP, then their price which was always lower. I was the WRX freak, my wife drives a legacy, my son an Impreza, dad a Forester, mom a legacy. For instance, my sons 2020 Impreza Hatchback, AWD, eyesight and advanced safety features, was below $18,500 brand new. This is what I am about to trade in.......7 years, not a single trip to the shop outside of general maintenance (I do all my own oil changes). Tons of Fun to drive and got close to 70% of what I paid for it back in trade..but its time to finally fulfill my dream of getting the pickup. If it ends up not being a good experience, its straight back to Subaru :)

But being 100% honest, nothing was more fun than my first STi, 2004...raw, mean and it flew!

I'm coming from a plain 2016 WRX Limited. Got $8k less then I paid for it in 2016. I do miss the fun of driving. But having 2 kids in it was too much.

Best bang for buck fun car there is! And come winter, even more fun to drive! Agreed, not the best family car though for the past 10 years I pulled it off, still could hold two car seats and had a decent size truck....just a bit fatiguing on long drivers and no utility!

My favorite rexxie color by far. Had a friend with one, always got a kick out of the little raised-fingers salute WRX drivers always seemed to give each other.

Just talked to a local dealership and have an appointment to look at a Crosstrek sport tomorrow, they named a very fair price for our '14 Ram and although they are at MSRP on the sale I'm willing to do it. The truck needs a sensor ($700) which they are aware of, and if we run in this year it also needs winter tires which will set us back at least $1200 (it got new all-seasons last summer). It's just not worth it to put that into a truck we don't plan to keep long-term.

I wish someone on here had a friend or new someone that worked at the plant that could verify if they are really shut down this week and next.

SHAP down this week and next week.

From our local news:

This week was not planned and impacted due to parts shortage. Next week was scheduled maintenance.

Oh, it's definitely shut down.

I curious to know what happened to any2021 models that were being built. Will they finish those now that they essentially closed it for another week?

Would they just finish it when they return as a 2021 model or change it to a 2022 model.
