Order Tracking

Interesting, my truck is supposed to be built on the 15th per my sales guy.
If the factory is shutdown do the outside vendors shutdown too?
Do they shutdown the line at 1159 on the 18th?
I’m assuming that’s the shutdown for switching to 22s so all 21s must be done by then. I don’t see why the outside vendors would need to shutdown, there’s nothing different for them between these years right?

Took my current Ram to the dealer to get oil changed and walked around the lot to sea of used trucks. It's really sad!

My daughter works for a company that supplies lighting fixtures to Honda here in Ohio. They have two shutdowns each year which coincides with Honda's shutdowns.

Ordered on 6/14/21
Got my VON on 6/23/2021 ( I could have gotten it sooner, but I didn't ask)

Got my vin today on 6/24/21

Owner of a 2020 Ram Laramie (leveled with 2" rc struts and 1" rear spacer on 33.5" toyo open country) , 16 Dodge Charger scat pack and my wife 21 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (2.5" rc lift with 35" duratracs)

Yep, a lot of times when the factory shuts down the other businesses that supply or support the factory have forced shutdowns which leads to forced vacation time taken. Which lowers the total of vacations hours the employee holds which is a debt to the company.

Mind sharing the last-6 digits of your VIN? And what trim did you order?

I can give you the last 4...its 2952. I work in information security, so that's why I'm tentative in giving out detailed info.

I ordered a big horn with the following addins

5.7 VVT
2 tone Hydro blue/black
Back country package
Uconnect 5 with nav
Black Cloth seats
Rambox
Pano roof
3.92 gears

Right now my big concerns is the specific details onto the back country package and price. I do have a little info on it, but no firm details on it. Also, I'm curious to know what kind of Cloth seats...is it sport Cloth ordeluxe cloth.

Thanks. I understand your hesitancy about giving out information, although I'm not aware of anything nefarious that can be done with a VIN. I'm going to assume your last-6 is 112952, which means your order wasn't "really" placed on 6/14...your number is about 1000 digits behind Gracieboy (who placed his order on 6/16).

Really all I'm trying to do is compile some data on the 2022 orders (on some sort of timeline). So when RAM starts pumping them out, we'll be able to extrapolate deliveries. As far as I can tell, there were only around 4,000(?) orders placed before pricing opened up on 6/14. Then the orders suddenly spiked to 13,000 within a few days. As others chime in, we'll get some better info.

It will also be interesting to see if RAM actually builds them in something close to the VIN order...or if they just build them in random order.

Good info. I'm curious to know if some of these are dealer orders, even though they don't have an official order window until july.

Also...I have to time my trade in to get the max $$ I can get. If 2022 models hit the lot, my price will drop a little.

The last six on my VIN:

812148

Not sure what that tells us...if you know I would be interested.

Edit: As I look back, I now see that you are really only dealing with 2022 orders. I am still interested in what those last six digits mean.

Yeah, I'm just tracking the 2022 VIN assignments, looks like we've got a pretty good feel on how the 2021's are shaking out.

I'm not 100% certain on the last-6, but it appears that they're straight-up numerically-ordered by date received. So I'm running with that.

Received Build Sheet yesterday, Window Sticker today. RAM chat says shipping in progress, due at dealer 7/1-7/14. Now to arrange transport to SOCAL from Auburn WA, anyone done this, recommendations?

Update: dealer says truck in JB status (probably for side steps). Says RAMchat "not always accurate".

I stopped by the dealership this morning and was blown away by all of the high mileage vehicles on the lot for sale. A 2016 Rebel with 131k miles, no way they could get that financed. Lot of them had 80k+ miles. Cash cars on the lot just as filler?
