Order Tracking

I was in your status (D) for about 1 1/2 mos.
I will just sit tight and wait like everyone else. When I saw folks getting into build stage with order dates near mine I became prematurely excited. Thanks for the reality check.

By the way @GadgetMason, congrats on your new truck. It looks great! And I am jealous for now.

So my truck is now “in transit” from SHAP to dealer but no eta or way for dealer to know when it will show up. Seems odd that as much tracking that goes on in the world with almost everything now a days and they seem blind as a bat. Ok I’m done ranting!
"in transit" to ram chat doesn't mean that it has left Michigan yet, and that is probably why your dealer can't see it yet. It is out of the plant's hands but the carrier hasn't loaded it and left with it yet, or may still be loading other vehicles.

You can't just look for similar order dates, you also have to look for similar trims.

I am a bit confused, Ram chat has given me a 6/25-7/9 dealer ETA, and Aaron confirmed that this morning. There wouldn’t be two different trains only two days apart, would there?
I guess it's possible there are two trains but our trucks were basically holding hands (mirrors?) going through the final stages so it's more likely the initial ETA of 6/23-7/7 got pushed back to 6/25-7/9 because when Aaron gave me my initial ETA on Saturday (6/19), he said it had not left Michigan yet. I was hoping that @Hemidakota's truck being in Arkansas yesterday meant we were close, but maybe we are on a separate train from his going "that" direction?

Did Aaron mention anything about where it was in the trip or if it had for sure left Michigan yet?

I will have to say this ordering a truck/car thing is new idea for me. . I have owned 20+ cars/suvs and never had to order one before. Usually just do a 100 mile search radius and then negotiate like hell to find something that works. That is what I expected to do here in my initial Truck foray.. and that didn't work out at all due to the shortages we are all seeing and ****ty Cali dealers

I will have to say this... usually you go car shopping then go to a dealer , lock up one and get it within a day or two. the "new car/truck " learning curve and initial jubilation wears off rather quick..like in a week. My wife got a new Volvo in march via our usual way- after like 5 days and a road trip to see the son-it was like.. ok nice SUV but it's just another car..
with this ordering thing -It is like expecting a baby and just increases 10x the overall emotional process. I am wondering if the new Truck post partem thing will wear off as quick this time ?

He said it is in Illinois, so if our trucks are indeed on the same train, then unfortunately it’s looking like the end of next week will likely be the earliest we can hope to take delivery. 😕

I better be excited at least as long as I have been frustrated! haha

Currently all that has to happen to get your truck sooner is for it to identify as a migrant and cross the southern US border instead of northern.
Do you have a build sheet yet? (I don't.)
You and I seem to be the guys who got in the wrong checkout line, behind the lady paying with a bag full of loose change she's saved over the years. The other lines are moving quickly and we're standing still.

I'm right there with you. First time for me to order a truck and looked everywhere and couldn't find exactly what I wanted. I'm not sure I will go through this process again but who knows what might happen in the future.

No build sheet and Ram Chat "escalated" my case today.
Any point in doing that? My order date was one day before yours but a very different trim level (cheap-o special lol). I'm not sure what escalation accomplishes, but I'm worried I am going to miss the window during which I could actually pick up the vehicle. I anticipated having it mid- to late-July but that isn't looking hopeful.

Just got a delivery estimate of 6/28 - 7/12 from ram chat!

2021 Ram 1500 4x4 Limited Crew cab 5’7” bed || Non Etorque Hemi || 3.21 gears || Billet silver || Ramboxs || 33 gallon tank || Panoramic sunroof || Off road group || Bed utility group || Advanced safety group || Trailer brake control || Ordered 4/30/21 || Estimated build date 6/18 || Build sheet 6/18 || window sticker 6/21 ||

I've heard it might not do anything really. I didn't even ask them to escalate it, they just did it on their own when I asked for an update today. We'll see what they say when they reach out to me about it. I'm hoping mid to late July, too. Keeping my fingers crossed!

They will escalate after 45 days of D status but not sure if they really do anything.

My order was escalated on 6/7, next day they said all parts gathered. Its now 6/23 and has not moved since then. So i waited over 45 days to collect parts..next day, oh parts are gathered? I knew this was going to take along time to get my order anyway but think they have a had the parts but just put them on the higher end models because the are standard equipment not options

Love the ride - now to add all the crap I just bought for it... Started today with Ram rain deflectors. A bit of a pain, but love them. tomorrows project, Ramair CAI. Should be able to knock it out pretty quick.

New for me also, but to have a window sticker factory note that says “this vehicle was built especially for Wayne Anderson” was kinda exciting... May have to frame it.

Just looked and the only rebates or special financing for July 4th is for Big Horn trims. Why no love for the others?
