Excited..my order was placed, but I don't have exact pricing just yet. Would love to know how much the back country package is. Also, looks like uconnect 5 will be available as well.

I'm thinking that I'm around $52-$53k

Owner of a 2020 Ram Laramie (leveled with 2" rc struts and 1" rear spacer on 33.5" toyo open country) , 16 Dodge Charger scat pack and my wife 21 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (2.5" rc lift with 35" duratracs)

Talked to dealer today, my truck was built 6/10, shows scheduled to arrive on train in Winston Salem NC on 6/18. So I guess that answers the question of which rail yard Rams destined for southwest Virginia come to.

When did you put your order in?

Wassup everyone,
So after shopping around I decided on the 2021 Ram 1500. I decided to build my own, but to my surprise I was told production had already shutdown (this was like beginning of June). I went to another dealership and was told as I was about to leave, that they already had an order placed on a 1500 Ram Limited Night Edition (which is what I wanted) with pretty much the same packages. I thought to myself, "I can't believe my luck". The salesperson had me put $2500 down as a hold on this order and gave me the build sheet. Tomorrow he also said he was going to call about changing the exterior paint color (I want the Granite Crystal). From other threads I've read the code on my sheet, BG, indicates "BG: Passed edit n/a for schedule. This is where the order can sit and wait for things like low volume paint where there needs to be x number or similar orders" so I'm thinking I should be good with making changes. Two things on the sheet do kind of stick out, 1) The Date Order is back in February - Why has this order just been sitting waiting on parts and/or similar orders for 4 months? 2) There is already a VIN number on the sheet - I thought that only came after you get to D1 status?

How legit is this order or are they going to string me along for a few weeks and then tell me it can't be built and try to get me to buy something off their lot with my $2500 down? Should I be getting something in writing with this deposit? I checked with a live chat person on the Ram website who did confirm both the date and VON number so the order does exist in their system.

You can check VIN and see if you already have a build sheet or window sticker. Unless you are from Canada and they are waiting for months to get theirs.

My assumption: this was an order the dealer made for the lot, rather than a customer order, and that dealer orders are lower priority than sold orders. So this order is at the back of the line.

I wonder if anyone has been picked up at the airport and walked to the wrong truck? Like there's one there already exactly like you ordered but the one you ordered is stuck in traffic.
I suppose that could happen, but I was on the phone with the courier as he was pulling up

Yeah but now that it is “sold” does that bump the priority up?

New orders for '21s stopped in early May I'm still waiting on my '21 to be built ordered in April. D status gives you a VIN. D1 is all parts have been received. D2 is firm schedule.

How was the drive, I will hopefully be making the drive from Lancaster down and back this week.
Lancaster, OH, correct? Small world, if so. I was born and raised in Lancaster. Class of '83.
The drive was easy. The only issue I had was hitting afternoon rush hour in Nashville. I would take the outerbelt around the southeast side of Cincinnati. There is construction on the I71/I75 bridge over the Ohio River.

Well guys I got the call and they got my truck. Went to dealer and they pulled it in their service department to finish inspection and install my exhaust and air intake. I’m picking her up tomorrow after work. I’ll take some much better pics but here she finally is. I took one of the engine because it’s the only time I’ll see her without the ram air intake

I bet you will be wide awake tonight and that you take tomorrow off.

Yep Ohio, you got a few years on me. I'm trading my car so I'm driving down and back. Planned on driving 12 hours staying in Jackson MS and leaving early the next morning to get to the dealer right after they open. I've done most of the paperwork already. Then I plan on powering home, with a backup of staying somewhere in Ky. I'm leaving tomorrow morning.

Lol. I hear you. I wish I could take off tomorrow but unfortunately I need all the hours I can get so I can pay for the new truck 😜
