I love the truck, What size wheels and tires did you go with? Do you like that style bed cover?

Wheels are 20x9 offset of 1. Tires are 275/60r20. The cover is great and terrible. Doesn’t leak, looks nice and solid...but limits ur ability to use the bed. Kids wanted to ride in the back around the campground and couldn’t do it with it.

Here is my limited. I replaced the power steps with the wheel to wheel fixed steps. Installed Mopar mud flaps and flex bed cover. Installed Revel links to lower it (about 1”). Wheels were installed two days ago. They are reps 24x10 with 295x40 tires. Slight rubbing. Working on identifying the issue. Picture taken in exit/entry.

Do you still have the power steps? Willing to purchase if so!

Hi. I missed your message. I do have the power steps. I haven’t decided if I’ll keep or sell them. I’m thinking shipping would be expensive.

My Ivory Tri Coat has yellowed on the plastic parts quite a bit over the 10 months of ownership. The truck spends most of it's life under a shared carport. I'm waiting for Chrysler to fix differential issues. Here is a picture of the color change. The wheel arches, front facia and ram box lids look awful.

So, I'm having the exact same issue and FCA/the dealer has denied fixing under warranty. Also, RAM Customer Care says the same thing. No warranty, it's normal. According to them, this is normal for white vehicles and it's "technically" not a defect. I understand that the plastic/metal panels may not match 100% but on my truck, at least, it's just the two front panels that are really bad. I would be quite happy if all the plastic panels matched at least. I walked around their lot and none of the white vehicles on the lot were near this bad. I'm also *very* certain that this issue wasn't present when the truck was new.

Do you have pictures of when it was "showroom new"? That looks so different that it almost appears it was painted two different colors. Either way I think you should somehow push harder. I don't agree that it is normal aging for white or any other color. My truck is the ivory tri coat, was built July 2018, sits in the sun all day in South Texas and definitely does not look like that.

I’m 100% in agreement with Duke2001. I was in the car business for 25 years and know for a fact that dealers repaint brand new vehicles if the damage is less than $300 it doesn’t have to be disclosed.
I also have a Ivory Tri Coat and live in South Florida my truck doesn’t look like that.

I’m trying to find the picture I took. I know I took one because I sent a few to my family.

I talked to the service manager at the dealership and he seemed less than interested in helping. He was 100% no way would this be fixed under warranty. Then he brought the body shop manager over and he said the same thing. He even said that the mismatch was pretty bad and the more he looked at it the worse it seems.

I mean it’s clear as day. The two colors aren’t even close.

I’m trying to figure out who I need to get involved. I’ve already gone to two dealers and had RAM Customer Service involved. I’m pretty sure I’m going to push for a lemon replacement anyways. I’ve had so many issues with this thing.

Mismatched paint
Ram boxes warped
Vibration at 60 mph in the mornings
Vibration and severe shaking in 4wd auto
Moaning brakes
Mirrors not returning after reverse
Severe booming noises when going over bumps/washboard. Sounds like I’ve got two 15” subwoofers running a bass test.
Rocking/shaking at idle
Lifters clatter when starting
Tons of road noise from the rear passenger door area.

Mine has not yellowed either but my 2018 Jeep JLUR has already had the grill and front fenders painted due to yellowing. There is a bulletin on the yellowing paint. They painted mine without question. Another fine FCA product!

FCA claims mine is "normal" as well. They just aren't taking responsibility for the slop they put out of their factory.

I'm sorry, but I also own a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe in their version of the same color. You can see very slight differences between the plastic and metal parts, but nothing as dramatic as my Ram.

Looks like we're stuck. Here's mine.

Interestingly, when I was having a chat with the body shop service manager he told me that all the plastic parts are from different manufacturers and they are painted at different times. Looks like whoever is manufacturing the two front panels is doing them differently or using different paint?

I thought it was funny that the longer we talked, the more he told me how bad the match was. He's completely correct - once you see it you can't un-see it.

Here's my almost 9 year old Hyundai Santa Fe. It's been a very high quality vehicle with zero issues. What a difference a brand can make!

Here is a picture of a 2019 Ford F150 Limited in their version of the same color. The Ford dealer gave me the truck to try out on a Saturday afternoon, when I was trying to unload my Ram Unfortunately, the trade in value of my $70,000 Longhorn which I paid $$60,000 with discounts and rebates has dropped so low ($40,000) that I can't even afford to get rid of it now Gee, I wonder why other manufacturers can make a perfect pearl white, but FCA can't?

I got the same exact story out 9f the service manager at my dealership. Different manufacturers....... What wonderful quality control!

The area manager looked at mine and claims it is normal. What a bunch of.

Seeing threads like this as far as value is what’s going to make me pay mine off and just use it as a toy. I’m no way a finance person but from what folks are paying as opposed to what dealerships are offering trade wise is crazy. :(

Dropped mine off yesterday again for the unresolved issues. The paint mismatch is one of them. I’m talking to the service advisor he asked me if the truck had been in an accident. He thought it had been repainted and they didn’t match it properly.

At least he said that he sees the issue and doesn’t think it’s acceptable. So that’s a start.
