My 2019 bighorn tells me if mines open.Ive had my 2020 Rebel for about 3 months and Love it but I accidently drove home with my tailgate wide open . I find it hard to believe that a $65,000 truck doesn’t even have a tailgate ajar warning lite ? I could have killed sombody with stuff falling out the back . I’m asking if it’s is normal or should I bring it in to dealer ? I have the Rebel 12 level 2 package .

Yes. If you look at my window sticker you will see that it does say i have this feature right before the "OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT".Is it an option that is listed on the window sticker? Can anyone confirm this?
That makes sense. My sticker doesn't have it. I assume there's a sensor near the tailgate it has to touch?Yes. If you look at my window sticker you will see that it does say i have this feature right before the "OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT".
Sales code is LAN for this feature.

Yes, the "Tailgate–Ajar Warning Lamp" can be anywhere in the list, so even if it's not in the base options, keep looking down the list.Just confirmed mine has it listed but further up the list.
ill give the dealer a visit. See what they have to say.

Ssme herre on my Laramie...My 19 Rebel shows to have it in the build sheet, but it does not ever show up in the instrument panel.
