Night Edition wheels not black?

I have another set of Laramie 20’s with the Ridge Grapplers that will be my winter tire set after I black them out. Has anyone used plastic dip on wheels here and how has it turned out? Or should I paint them or have them painted?

I saw a set of those wheels powder coated gloss black and they looked real good! Cost a bit more obviously but I think it would be worth it

Balding on inner edge, like too much camber, the rubber is probably starting to harden they look like they have some age

How many miles did you get before having issues?

Not the miles as much as the years, 4-5 you can see evidence of hardening like dry rot, little cracks in the sidewall

I've had it on order from my local dealer for about six weeks now and it's supposed to be in sometime in June. I'm not holding my breath though as it seems to be backordered everywhere. Very annoying that it's so difficult to obtain.

You are correct, the Limited night edition wheels are not black they’re identical to the granite crystal metallic color. See pic of my wheel against my GCM truck and notice my lugs and tire are black. Not sure why RAM calls grey black. Same as the interior they call it black but it’s dark grey. They’ve done that for as long as I can remember.

I like them since they are clear coated and should be much easier to care for and won’t fade in time like matte.

Call the dealership in question and ask if it's in stock, and if not ask them if they can scan for in stock parts for that paint number..
Most of the stuff online is out of stock and will either never ship or can canceled by the dealership in a few days if it's not in stock.
I got mine from through ebay, but from a dealership. The listing is closed now though as this was in 2022.

When I was looking a few months ago most of the online stores were out of stock or back ordered. I even placed orders from 2 different online stores that got canceled. I called the closest dealership to me and they didn’t have any in stock, but they were showing the next closest dealership had 6 in stock. I called that dealership and sure enough they had 6 in stock.

Update...

I ordered the Black Noise touch up paint through my local dealer six months ago. I last spoke to them two months ago and was told the system showed it would be available in September. Now that we're nearing the end of the month, I called for another update...still on backorder with no estimate of when it might arrive, and some comment suggesting delay due to "change of supplier."

I've periodically searched for some place selling it online without much luck, but I tried again yesterday and found an eBay seller with one available for normal price (supposedly their last in stock). I placed an order and should have it in a couple days. It's coming from a Ram dealer in Indiana (Freedom CDJR of Bluffton) and shipped yesterday... hopefully the right thing when it shows up.

Why Ram has been unable to provide this seemingly simple item for such a long time remains a mystery, and supplies in the wild seem to be increasingly rare. I'm just glad I finally have one on the way so I can hide my shameful curb rash ;-)
