New Software Update Wireless CarPlay?

I noticed that when changing Sirius channels using the steering wheel controls works a little strangely now. I'm not sure if it was always like this, but holding the button scrolls through channels 5 at a time. That's a cool feature that I don't mind...but if you click too fast to just go down one channel or two, the stupid thing suddenly goes 5 or 10 channels. Even if the 5 at a time feature was already there, I feel like the sensitivity was somehow tweaked, to the point where the switch is damn near useless.

Any other ideas what else has been messed with?
You got it Aspen. Mine is doing the exact same thing. Channels skip about 1/5 attempts to change channel…51,52,53,58,59…. I was on the phone with Uconnect assistant for 40 minutes and they said to take it in to the dealer.

Seems like there's a lot of not knowing what the update included (mine installed yesterday afternoon). This thread on the Wrangler forum implies it's mainly performance improvements and minor camera bug fixes.

Anyone else find any other nuggets of info?

The biggest change for mine was Off Road pages were added to the main Uconnect screen. Until the update I only had them on the Instrument Cluster display. Didn't see anything else completely new.

...I'm gonna go check this now 🤣

Mine is doing this as well. The dealer won't be able to fix it in my opinion as this is certainly an update coding problem. They'll have to fix it with the next update.

Can also confirm mine started this right after the update yesterday. Worked perfectly before and now randomly jumps across SiriusXM stations. Disappointing as I use(d) this daily.

I’ve read other threads where they‘ve removed ALL Bluetooth devices and “forgotten”(removed) the vehicle on the phones to fix these issues like this. It’s worth a try. 😉
I'm not averse to giving it a reset - I'll read up on how much 'rebuilding' I'll have to do to the phone if I were to give it a bounce, and then be ready for it the next time it drops pairing. Oddly enough, neither the phone nor UConnect retain memory of each other as previously connected devices after they drop pairing - I also had to go in and 'forget' 4 other phones when I picked up the truck (thinking about it now, I could actually be dealing with someone else's issues that the dealership didn't take care of upon trade-in).
UPDATE: I went ahead and did a reset of the 'Connections' on my phone, and wiped all previously connected BT devices over the weekend. When I paired the RAZR back up to UConnect today, it actually allowed me to choose it as the 'Favorite,' which has always been grayed out. Keep 'em crossed - maybe this worked.

Thank you all, I was afraid it was a hardware limitation, but never hurts to ask. Thank you again all!

I got one of these from Amazon works really good for wireless CarPlay. And it’s prime so if it doesn’t work for you you can always send it back.

CarlinKit 2.0 Wireless CarPlay Adapter USB for Factory Wired CarPlay Cars (Model Year: 2019 to 2020), Wireless CarPlay Dongle Convert Wired to Wireless CarPlay

Guess this is a slow roll out.
I'm still on 20.04.19 and my truck sits outside with a clear view to the sky every day.
Hey buz did you get an update yet?me and u have the same system… let me know if you get the update already…so far I haven’t got it.

I got the update last week. It lost my Android as the primary device. I didn't notice that until I tried calling someone and it couldn't locate the person. I then found it couldn't find any contacts. I deleted my phone from Uconnect and re paired it. Now all seems to be working again.

I don’t have the off road pages on the main screen - still only on the instrument cluster. Mine is a Limited - possible that putting it on the main screen is only for Rebel?

I have them on the 12" Screen in My 2021 Laramie CC with Off Road Group.

I noticed the EXACT same situation on mine!

Mine on Rebel 2021 always had them on the cluster and 12.1 screen ! Maybe your software was old?

My truck indicated it needed to update the software this morning. I started it and it took approximately 40mins to complete. I don’t see anything major except it says it now supports wireless CarPlay. I have an iPhone 11 with vs14 IOS and cannot seem to figure out how to connect CarPlay wirelessly. Still connects fine via wired. I deleted my phone and reconnected it, didn’t seem to help. I have checked several settings on my phone. Anyone else get CarPlay to work on 2021 Ram? Thanks in advance!

The new version will not give you wireless CarPlay that’s for the new GEN 5 radios coming out 2022

Can you send a picture of what the off-road looks like on your screen please? Mine is still on the dash also after the update. Thank you.
