Hey everyone, new to the forum and thought I'd share my newly aquired 2019 Crew cab that I will be turning into a "discreet" overlander. This is my 2nd Ram, after I leased a 2020 quad cab at the start of Covid and got a hell of a deal and wanted to see if Iiked Ram products. Sold it back way over MSRP last year and waited until now to find one I wanted to buy. Needless to say, I loved it as a daily and didn't look at any other manufacturers again. I took the quad cab cross country, removed the seats and built a platform to sleep on. It was a decent learning experience.
It was a little tight, so I had been waiting for a white crew cab to come up for sale to do the same. Why white? It stays cooler in the sun and doesn't get as dirty or stay dirty looking as long from my experience.
I had recently sold my 04 SRT10 single cab that was black and I got tired of trying to keep it clean looking- I will refrain from buying a black vehicle again.
Anyways, just thought I'd introduce myself and share what I'm doing as it seems to be a little more on the creative/adventuresome side of the sprectrum.
Currently sitting on 20"s, will be looking for a set of 18" Rebel wheels and a possible lift or just to level the front. 5.7 running 3.92 gears with a max payload of 1,664 lbs. (a little lower than I really wanted). Down the road I plan to get a lightweight slide in camper, or just build one myself. Cheers
