5th New Ram 1500 Limited for me. Love the 5th generation Ram!

Just brought home new Ram 1500, it has 450 miles on it, dealer GM had been using it.
Brought it home and parked in garage. Wife gets home and asks if I hit a skunk. Went into
garage and the whole garage smells like skunk! Luckily it's not in the cabin, but not too happy
about situation. I've been seeing people claiming it's due to coolant/hose interaction, fan shrouds,
stickers on exhaust.

Anyone have any concrete dealer fixes?

I just bought a new Laramie earlier this week, and I notice the skunk smell also. There is another post of people with new Rebels with the smell. Sounds like a common issue.

This is of no help whatsoever but this reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the valet and BO

Thought it was just mine I also had this same thought on my 2019 Laramie and popped the hood just to check if some poor skunk got stuck in there or something. The smell is completely gone at 3k miles now.

Picked up a 19 limited This past week. Skunk smell near grill with engine off. Open hood hard plastic fan shroud/housing has strongest smell. 300 miles; not sure I will be able to live with it for 3000 miles until it stops smelling like skunk. No odor inside but have kept windows while in garage.

My Laramie had this when I got it. It disappeared after 4-5k miles.

Yea I think it is just stuff burning off from when it was built, well that's my Theory. I also smelled something but at 2800 miles, I got nothing anymore.

Post regarding weed/skunk smell and I think that some had some success with replacement of the radiator fan shroud?

My 19 bighorn with 300 miles has the skunk smell, but i dont care, I'm sure it will go away with time. My 16 had it too

I also had this smell, but it is going away after 1,000 miles. I smelled it around the tires and I believe the smell came from the tire black glossy coating the dealerships use on the new Rams. They coat the tires heavily with this stuff.
