Multi function tailgate problem

You guys are phenomenal...just picked up a new 2025 Tungsten with the multifunction tailgate. Got home, tried to open the barn doors, and nothing. Wouldn't latch. Thought I was doing something wrong. So before going back to the dealer I come here for advice...slam the regular tailgate fairly hard...what do I have to lose? And voila, the barn doors work. Thank you!

Bought a new 25 longhorn limited. Multi function tail gate stopped opening when I went to pick it up. Had the dealership try to fix it where I bought it but they couldn’t fix it by the time I had to leave to head back home (9 days) Now I brought it to another dealership back home to get the same issue fixed. The service department had to open up a STAR case to speak with the engineers about the tailgate. It’s been 14 more days now at the current dealership with no truck. Anything I can do or recommendations?
I had the same problem with my doors on my 2023 Longhorn Limited; they had to change all three locking mechanisms, and now it works as it should . I have since sold that truck, but I miss those doors when putting stuff in the truck

Wow, I love this forum! I've had my Tungsten for a little over a month. A few days ago, that the barn door tailgate would not open. It would drop down fine, but I could not open the barn doors. I was really getting frustrated. So i read this post today, and figure what the heck, I'll try slamming the tailgate shut. Yup, now it works fine. Crazy!
