Moisture in cab

I wet it all around the “window only” today before I took it to the dealer & water came through on top of passenger side, drove it straight to the dealer & showed them where the frame was cracked & he said they have seen 2 in the last week for the same issue, replacement is 3 weeks out & they have to send pictures to get warranty issued.

You know with all the warranty issues being reported for this, you would think a light bulb would go on and someone would do something about ti at the factory to stop the issue from happening.

What is the repair, replace the whole window? or do they just seal it shut from outside or inside.

the frame is part of the window assembly so you get an entire new back window.

it's the supplier making the rear window assembly, not Ram/FCA. Chevy is having the same issue as they use the same supplier.

I wish he could get the Vertical sliding rear window like the Tundra!

My daughter just went through this with her '19 Rebel. They replaced the rear window assembly under warranty a month before it expired. We noticed her new window doesn't have the same molded "seams" in the plastic as her original one did. It's smooth like my '21 rear window is. So they are at least working on the problem. Not holding out a lot of hope it's fixed though. :ROFLMAO:

How is everyone rear window defrosters working ? Any issues with those or is that the next thing to go bad?

That sucks i have a similar issue. the seal around my back window of my 2020 laramie leaks just a bit when i wash it. after a wash ill have some leak marks on the inside of my rear window in the corners. asking around and doing a but oif research they say its common for the seal to give way due to the middle window.

anyhow i washed my truck before a oil change so they could see that it was in fact a leak from the seal. im waiting in making an appointment to get it resealed.

also my passaner "B" pillar is coming off. i looked under and its just double sided tape holding those on if anyone is curious, there on back order of 40 days. leaset their goimng to replace all 4 of them and the window seal under warrenty.

Is the plastic cracked on the inside? Look closely, my cracks were almost so perfect they looked factory. They don’t reseal it, they have to replace the whole window.

Just replaced my right rear B pillar. I actually noticed it on Saturday as the center section was sticking out. I went to the dealer and bought a new one and put it on in 10 minutes. They had it in stock. Very cheesy design. Basically just double sided tape on both sides with three clips in the center with a little cheesy gasket on the clips. Not sure if mine was coming off as it wasn’t installed properly or because there was a rash of vehicle break-ins in my neighborhood on Friday night and possibly they tried getting in. Either way it was quicker for me just to pay for it and put it on versus takkin the car to the dealer for warranty.

Could you post a photo of as how your Passenger Pillar is coming off.

Looks like they used cheap double sided tape and not the 3M brand wonder if you could peel off the bad tape and use a better 3m industrial tape, its red in color and wicked strong. You could stick a brick to a wall and it will hold.

I’m sure you could but the problem is the three clips in the center break when you try to pull the cover off. Not really sure if they’re separate or not. my cost on the panel since I work at a dealer was $22. Normal price is $35. If the part was like $100 or so then I would consider putting different tape on there.

Since it is pouring rain this morning this is what I see when I get in my truck to go to work. Waterline on the right rear of the back glass . I have a strong suspicion the frame is leaking. Or the back window is just not sealed good to the body. Only 1045 miles currently on truck. Stuck in traffic right now and it’s raining so once I get to work I can look at it more closely.

Dripping down from the top of the frame on the back glass. Looks like I have no choice but to take it to the dealer.

Either side like that could also be third brake light seal, the cracked frame tends to have drips closer to either side of the slider. Good luck, I've had both leaks, sealed my shark fin also just in case to eliminate the third possiblity

After I get the new window installed I will be waterproofing both shark fin & third brake light also.

I will pay the 35.00 and put on a new one with new tape.
No. Truck only has just over 1000 miles right now. Since that day it has rained multiple times and I never saw the moisture again on the windshield. Only thing I saw was this on the back window when I got to work after it was raining in the morning. Haven’t got around to actually leak testing anything. I took the back wall paneling and the backseat off for easier access. I’m a technician so doing this is not a big deal. I mean it is a big deal in the sense that this is a brand new truck and I had no clue that these trucks had such water leakage issues . I do understand the truck is under warranty but I refuse to let my truck sit at the dealer for weeks and have technicians do crappy work if the issue is something very simple to fix. To me spending $30, $40 or even $50 bucks to fix something is more convenient than weeks down at the dealer. The weather has been real crazy lately so tonight it shows it supposed to rain all night so maybe in the morning I will see something.

If i have the same issue, can I just seal the window with Urethane sealant myself? and would you recommend any specific brand?
