The 2016 Ram Rebel TRX is a totally bad *** concept truck. It also previewed many things that were to come on the 2019 Ram. Pay attention to what Jim Morrison said around the 8:50 mark in the video, think about how well the TRX concept was received and take a minute to read this.

Is a HELLCAT powered Rebel TRX coming?

So much has changed since then.We now know (unofficially, of course):- 2020 release as a 2021 model year is likely- Two engine options (neither appears to be 575 horsepower) ~ 7.0L 500+ naturally aspirated base engine ~ 6.2L Supercharged 707 horsepower package- The Hellcat in a truck will likely be priced around Demon/Trackhawk levelsEagerly and patiently awaiting performance and pricing information on the entry level TRX (if you can call a TRX entry level). We have the snow plow mule, which could just be a ruse to hide the TRX's suspension and the TRX mule mentioned elsewhere here. We seem to be well past that phase where people have just cause to doubt whether or not "they will build the thing". And I thought the information supply was going to slow to a trickle.

So stop yer slobbering, this won't be no production color scheme (unless'n ya gots hordes of cash stashed for http://www.prefix.com to do ya a frame off paint job).(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)(see attachment)

I was hoping to see this at Chrysler at Carlisle...it wasn't there. Figured at All truck nationals it would be...not there.

Not too long til this year's events. Hoping to do the ride and drive of a Rebel and just maybe get to see this TRX. But won't be too much longer until the production truck is out...and then some really hard decisions got to be made!!!

</woltlab-quote>My guess is, the TRX won't be shown for a while as FCA wants to keep the focus on generating sales, which means promoting trucks people can buy now.Having the TRX be trotted out only draws attention away from the vehicles available for purchase, their new features, and performance details. There is the argument that the TRX draws people to other Rams, but the absence of the TRX at the Detroit Auto Show, the LA Auto Show, the Texas State Fair the year after it was introduced, etc. indicate to me that Ram wants people to focus on production vehicles for now.I do, however, expect to see it at things like the Cars and Coffee car show as that venue does not focus on production vehicles anyway. While I would like to see more of it, if I had to choose between ogling a concept and preparing for a production release of a new vehicle based on that concept, I'm glad their attention seems to be making it available. I think you will see a lot of these on the road and I think FCA is going to be making money hand over fist with them for quite some time.I am, however, having a hard time picturing it with a less glorious, but production realistic paint job. The concept's 30 something coat paint scheme is unreal. I'd shell out some extra cash to get a vehicle with a paint job like that (not $20,000 more, mind you), but that will not likely be an option. So I'm trying to picture that body style with a Delmonico Red production paint scheme and am just not able to do it. That concept red is too alluring. I can't see the thing in any other color (and I'm scratching my head about why the DT Rebel's are not available in my favorite color, which causes me concern - what if the TRX is not initially available in it either? What will I do then? Xanax?).

Anything close to an ETA on track width and suspension details?Does anyone know if the production version will have the wide track and Prefix-esque hourglass overhead design?Has anyone seen any production design details to know how aggressive the TR/TRX will be?Is the primary difference between the TR and TRX the powerplant and perhaps the overall trim level?I'm gonna be nervous until I see a spy shot of a highly unusual looking Ram out in the wild . . .

The more I think about it, it doesn't need to be an either or scenario regarding the suspension. It is possible that the Ram Rebel TR could have a more agressive suspension than the standard Rebel, but much less agressive than the TRX. Something along the lines of - the same body style as the TRX (six inch wider track, hourglass body), but have less of a lift, less travel, and less clearance than the TRX. That would be a workable compromise between the two.The TRX, as awesome as it will be, is simply going to be out of range at that rumored $85,000 price for the overwhelming majority of buyers. That is a very elite range for a vehicle. So, the TR could have less horsepower, lift, travel, and clearance, but still have a wider track to be more competitive with the Raptor, but not be at a price point that only astronauts can afford.

I think the TR will be just above the capabilities of the Raptor and the TRX will be the Halo and Supreme leader of the Truck world.

And the Powerwagon is gonna get that powerplant, the 7.0l one, to Reign even more over the Competition...wait...there isn't any...Ok so it will reign supreme over its forefathers.

REBEL, REBEL TR, REBEL TRX, POWERWAGON AND REBEL POWERWAGON.

GOOD TIMES.

I submitted a Wikipedia article on the Ram Rebel TRX, but, the production truck might be out before the article I submitted gets approved . . . (end sarcasm).
Not a lot there yet, but once/if it gets approved, it will grow - and likely from more contributors than just me.

Does anyone know what the likelihood is of us seeing a production TRX in that Header Red color?
I realize that the production versions will not have 30 some coats of paint, but I just cannot get enough of that color.
