So I downloaded map updates and installed them, it said installation was successful. Re-power and it says no maps found.
Tried downloading again and it says updating and then bails out.
When down loading the files I selected Ram -> Light Duty and it came up with a total of 9 files.
I assume light duty was the correct selection?
Any help appreciated.

When you say "no maps found", is it just a blank navigation screen or are the original factory installed maps still there?

My 2022 which was built Nov 2021 had an outdated map installed from the factory dated November 2020.

When I went to install the update, I got this message...

Is your uconnect up to date? I just did mine, and the instructions had me go through that process first. Granted, my maps update was mailed to me via 2 thumb drives, one for uconnect and the other was the maps. Also, when ordering, it specifically made you choose your screen type/size.

I don't think mine is up to date. I think the version was 25.48.
When I went to HERE, it doesn't ask me screen size. It just says Ram->Light Duty-> Uconnect 5.
Thanks

I think that is for UC4.
It doesn't allow any selection newer that 2021.

Yep I see that now. Sorry to send you on a wild goose chase.

I just did this last week. Made these selections and had no issues.Screenshot_20230403_090117_Samsung Internet.jpg

Thanks ill try

It is possible they are not supported on the 2023s yet.
The 2023 uses a differnet series of firmware then the 2022.
Both are technically UC5, but I suspect the 2023 UC5 will be referred to as UC5b or something like that.

The downloads for "light duty" and "ram" appear to be the same at a QUICK glance, but I did use Ram on my 2022 with 0 problems

Im guessing it doesn't support 23's yet.
I think my initial problem was I used a 16GB usb drive, That isn't big enough, should have been 32GB.
It probably corrupted something as I tried resetting everything to factory default.
Still no luck.
I guess I will have to wait on my dealer, I can't get in for a month and a half!
Sucks

It's very possible.

Yes 16GB is too small.
The map update is around 19GB if I recall.

"Still no luck"...Do you have any map available when you go to Nav or is it just a blank screen? When I went to update mine it said it would erase the current map. The update failed so it kept my old map file.

I didn't get that message on my 2022.

I assumed it would delete them but never got that message.

Initially after it rebooted it showed a map with no error but no roads on it.
Then the next time it rebooted it showed the pic below.

:( that sucks. Looks like you have a dealership visit in the near future.
That is pretty concerning you broke your maps applying what is listed as the correct maps.

I agree.... I have written a lot of software in my time and though I wouldn't have any trouble updating maps.
Now wait 6 weeks to get into the dealer.

From my USB stick the file size of the 9 files is 17,587,276,491 or 16.3G , i did use a 64G FAT32 USB stick to load them.
You may want to retry using a stick bigger than 16G .

Looking at the TomTom site RAM + Ram, Light Duty , Heavy Duty and UC5 ProMaster all have the same 9 files.
All have 16.4G and v2022.09 files ( we must be due for a new version ! )

The folks in this thread with problems all have 2023, not 2022s like us.

Im glad it's just my navigation.... I never really use it but I liked have it up in the digital dash.
I normally use google maps
