Mine was some oil plug above the transmission they said not the main seal but exactly the same photos
They should use a black light first. The trans oil has dye in it from the factory. Assuming the black light does not show a trans leak. Then add the dye to the engine. Drive it for a week or so and bring it back. If the oil glows under the black light, you have a engine oil leak. Will probably need the trans removed to find it. Could be anywhere on the back of the block. There is a possibility thar you have assembly grease burning off and dripping. If that is the case the leak will stop by itself in time. But dye will verify if it is a leak or assembly grease.

Nope put dye in right away and from there I got a new oil pan where a kid beat it on with a mallet. That caused a massive oil leak and truck sat on the side of the house for three weeks. Oh well seems to be fixed now. Only drove it like 30 miles so far but here is hopeful thinking.

Hello all,
I just signed up to this site after reading a lot of your posts. I have a 2020 Ram Big Horn, and it is leaking oil as well. The dealer said it is the rear main seal, and parts are ordered. I didn't notice the leak until I started parking it indoors. I have to admit, now I'm not so sure it's not the transmisson after reading these posts.
Thank you for all of the information you've provided.

Shine a black light on the oil on the floor. If it glows it has the dye tracer in it. It would be trans oil. If it does not would be engine oil. The factory adds florescent dye to the trans oil, but not the engine oil.

Rear main seal. Even though after theee trips to dealership it finally was repaired.
oil pan gasket which they hammered back into place and then had to replace again
Finally said it was a oil plug hidden higher up on backside of the motor.
good luck.

Am I too late to join. 2021 warlock. Same leak at 750 miles. Rear main seal repaired. Leaking again at 1200 miles. Back to the dealer. Actually hoping I can eventually get to lemon status. Massive disappointment. Maybe they’ll straighten it out.

Thought I'd share.

I'm bringing my truck in on October 4th. Will report back. Hope it isn't the rear main seal. I've ruled out the oil sensor or residual oil from filter or spilt oil while filling.
